If you look at the Bream you caught, you can see every colour from white, pink to brown. I guess that's why all the colours work. They're all natural colours.

Hey mate quick question which miller rod do u prefer for throwing big baits. The beast freak or ambush rod? Great video.
@tommymacfishing5 ай бұрын
Hey mate! Good question Both are very different rods, if I am casting banks or structure I’ll go for the shorter ambush. Also on live it’s a bit easier and probably has a bit heavier casting weight. If I am fishing open water and blind casting top waters or things like big weedless plastics I’ll lean towards the beastfreak for the extra casting distance. Hope that helps, happy to talk rods all day mate. That’s just a general overview. If you have any specific questions let me know.

Two questions mate. Are they Cod Freaks you are using? You seem to have a good picture with the Mega live, did it take much to work out? I am getting 360 and live put on the boat in a couple of weeks.
@tommymacfishing9 ай бұрын
Hey mate! I have run everything in the Miller range, but I do find I like the longer rod, 7’+ I run mainly the swimfreak power. Yeah, it's good out of the box but dialling it in can be a little trickier. I have started doing a few on water setups to get the most out of your settings. If you want, when you have it all installed let me know and we can tee up a time and help dial it in.

G'day Tommy boat looks mint mate My boat is going to Chris tomorrow 13/11/23 for a new cast deck, I was just wondering why you went carpet, I have told Chris that I'd be going EVA foam no carpet, but after seeing you build for around the 20th time I like the look of carpet, I had top quality hookless carpet in my last boat, but thought EVA foarm would be better, any thoughts you have would be good Cheers Mick
@tommymacfishing11 ай бұрын
Haha you will see my boat in there then 🤣 Both are great options mate. I think if I go full alloy I would go foam for easy washing and fast drying in winter. Wood and Eva looks rubbish IMO. I also like the carpet look at the moment. If my boat was bare when I got it it may have been a different decision but as it came fully carpetted we just rolled with it.

Thanks for getting back to me mate, my boat is a 4.5 polycraft side console, love it and can't wait for Chris to do his magic, I'm going all alloy frame and hatches so think I'll go foam, thanks again cheers Mick 👍

18+ Having never been cod fishing, would be awesome to spend the day learning how to get started. Done plenty of flatty and snapper fishing and watch alot of cod content as they look like an epiq fish, just overwheling knowing which baits to buy and what specific gear is needed. Goodluck to all those that have entered

Tommy this is so amazing, using actions to promote positivity 👌🏽. Being over 40 and fairly new to fishing I have come across a bit of negativity on the water which I believe comes from Social media opinions of a few. Keep up the great work mate.

Over 18s Hi Tommy, My interest in fishing was first sparked by my old high school friend and his family, they always had big family outings on the water fishing together, coming from a non outdoorsy family really made me realise the special connection that fishing can create and the community that surrounds it. I have recently in the last year purchased my own boat and am fumbling my way through learning everything, and would like to learn more so how to work the different lures/different areas of the lake, how to chase the different types of fish in the area and increase my chance of landing a fish. Thank you for reaching out to the community, and offering a helping hand. Great initiative!
@Cimmeron Жыл бұрын
Over 18. Hey Tom, This is a great initiative. Helping people find some success. I know firsthand how difficult it is watching one of your videos and trying to do everything the same, but without success. You helped me out once before bream fishing and dialling in when exactly the lure hit the bottom. It helped immensely. I would really like this chance to get that first hand nuance when it comes to cod fishing. Cheers
