Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy those water tubes that hold pool covers down in winter. They're like $25 for ten feet.

Looking at all the products mentioned. The one thing I noticed is you are only supposed to fill the HydraBarrier to 90% so it has a flat bottom and maximizes contact with the ground (and to prevent rolling). And full, it weighs approx 75lbs. Lots to consider. Thanks again.

A 10 ft x 6 ft blow up pool , cost $20-30 could be used as a water dam.

Quick dam IS re-usable. I have done so. It just has to dry out, which takes longer, before you store them away. We don’t drag them. The “tyvek” or whatever the cloth is, can fray. I haven’t tried patching a frayed one, but we use enough of them, it is a conversation in our household. I do flood control for 16 households in 8 structures. We haven’t bought the water filled dams, but we have rolls of green rain gutter extension. The ends can be tied off in a pinch. Water filled always leaks at wrinkles in bends and ends. Under fill and augment those areas by putting sandbags on top of them. Just my take. I enjoyed your video. Glad I’m not the only person who struggles to get the fill neck pulled out. I have resorted to padded pliers, but when they fight the reshaping I am always afraid I will tear the plastic somewhere.

I believe the Hydra barriers are meant to be inflated in place and larger than the space so they should be a foot or so longer on each side and seal the spot pretty tight. Good to know that they don't come with the waterbed type extension! Video is huge help in deciding whether to do these and which ones - Thanks!

"So this is kinda like the AquaDams, but...more like a home version of it"... Hey Brian, thanks for the shoutout! I wanted to let you know, 1ft to 4ft tall AquaDams are available to homeowners for flood control. I'd be happy to send you a small dam to trial. If you're interested, reach out to [email protected]. Thank you, Matthew Wennerholm AquaDam Inc

hi, thanks for your note, yes, Jordan is actually very hot this time of year, but if you plan it right, it should be okay, for example when visiting Petra, try to get there very early before it gets too hot out in the afternoon, thanks for your note

Hi Brian! Really cool video! I'm always impressed by ethnic music and i was happy to find your video! A bit off topic: did u find Jordan very hot at this time of the year? I'm planning to visit Jordan (my first time) in a couple of days from now, but i'm a bit worried that it would be too hot for outdoors walks/visits/hikes. Any feedback would be much appreciated!!! Cheers ^_^ (Eliana)
