How do you dump the water build up in the condensate chamber? our system just got set up and we have 200ppm of water in the oil. its filling up faster than the exhaust can vaporize it, and ours is not equipped with the auto-dump feature in the operators manual. is there something we are supposed to be doing to drain it? we opened the manual drain but are immediately met with vigorous pressure shakup in the condensate chamber

Good afternoon How do you feel about new technologies that are not similar to the current ones, based on a completely new principle of burning any fuel with clean emissions into the atmosphere?

We have one of these at my plant right now because our steam turbine oil has been somehow getting water in it which we are working on trying to fix. But the oil dehydrator has to constantly be monitored otherwise we start losing oil instead of water. The vacuum and the temperatures don’t seem stay matched up right. Do you have any suggestions?

You'll never not have water in your turbine oil unless you have perfect seals. Look at getting a permanent skid to remove water.

I have dehydrated several buckets of transformer oil by doing various additional treatments and I can say that the main factor in increasing efficiency is heating the oil to 70-80 degrees Celsius and running it into narrow gaps in a very low pressure. In none of my experiments did bubbles appear on sharp edges or fiber ends, only in gaps with a small opening angle.

I'm DIY building a old 45KG LPG gas bottle conversion at home as a waste veg oil vacuum chamber. Aim is to dry the oil and use in diesel engine. Do you have any more details or suggestions on what i could use that's cheap and easy to get sharp edges or what you've used to make it go through small tunnels? Initially I was just going to fill the tank 80% full and put a band heater around and heat to 70-80C as you stated and apply a vacuum.

Does the free water example pose a problem because the weight of the oil creates pressure on the water that cannot be removed by a vacuum pump? I guess that's another example of why you have to churn the mixture and pour it over the fiberglass elements.
@maciejc.6176 ай бұрын
I think when the pressure is low enough it acts also on the water under the oil layer, so this water could boil in a room temperature and the steam in form of bubbles will go through the oil. It is just a guess, but making the emulsion could increase the efficiency of the dehydration 🤷🏻♂️
@charvakkarpe6 ай бұрын
@@maciejc.617 Look up Pascal's Law and the section on a fluid column with gravity. You could have perfect zero pressure in a vessel but the weight of an oil layer will keep the water below it under some pressure and could prevent it from boiling. There's no such thing as pressure below zero, so there's no way to lower the pressure further to counteract the weight of the oil.

Why not make a heater for personal home owners that use induction tehcnology to heat the water?! Then the jome! This is a multi million $ idea!
@250a-d8k8 ай бұрын
Electric heating, inductive and resistive, is more energy efficient than natural gas and is used in water heaters and furnaces in a lot of places. However natural gas is cheaper per kWh and so it is still the most common energy source for heating because of that.

I think 20 seconds is not enough in case of globe valves operation. They take time for full operation (full open or full close) and ball valves are not installed on the said circuit. Also in the case of globe valves, valves operating positions are not given in the video. Partial opening of the valve shall decrease the valve seat life. Curious, what to do?? 🧐🧐
@ClarkReliance Жыл бұрын
1. If you have an installation with valves that may require more than 20 seconds to manipulate, you may have to exceed the recommended 20 second duration described in our procedure. However, the duration should be kept to a minimum amount of time. Our procedure is a guideline offered to assist operators with the majority of typical installations. 2. Valve position is important to the operator. A trained operator should be educated on the valves in their particular boiler installations. Otherwise, they should seek guidance from the valve manufacturer. We thank you for your comments. If you have any other questions, feel free to email us at [email protected].

When blowing down of steam is done after 20sec and the drain valve is closed. Upon opening the the water valve to read the level in the boiler, will the water overcome the steam pressure?
@ClarkReliance2 жыл бұрын
No, the water level will promptly equalize with the level in the drum, because the steam piping ventilates back to the drum. The water level should stabilize very quickly, unless there is a blockage in the piping or the isolation valves are not fully opened.
