If the process is via competitive tendering it is not in the Contractor's best interest to question or request clarification of vague, incorrect or unclear tender information. Instead the Contractor would deliberately underprice the unclear information to get a cheaper price advantage. Then wait until post tender submission and declare what he's done when he gets interviewed for the project. Competitive tendering is a complete waste of money and time and is virtually obsolete on najor projects in the UK gor those reasons.

You're overthinking the whole process. Focus on building your business and personal brand while inspiring and motivating your audience. This will attract like-minded professionals and entrepreneurs. Hi Mark, just saw your video on my feed. My name is Avik and I work as an HR transformation & hiring strategy consultant for the last 17 years . I really like the fact that you look forward to considering candidate feedback seriously which many orgs tend to often overlook. Maybe you can gather this information by sending them an interview survey when the rounds of interviews are done. This would help you to do some deep diving onto several factors like pre-onboarding candidate experience etc, the trending market pay range or different positions etc. Also keeping a track on offer decline really helps as well as you said . Secondly, very important factor is the recruitment video which can be be more of a story telling about the firm you are hiring for . This can have short clips of your existing employees about how they feel working with your firm in terms of 1) work environment 2) learning opportunities 3) career advancement 4) why should someone join this firm " offers career not job" Thirdly, making your firms presence not only on linked (we are hiring feature really works on linked in i must say ) but also on facebook and instagram . And trust me it works well for younger/junior talent hiring initiatives. And ofcourse you may want to buy paid services for indeed, total jobs etc. Cheers,

Hi guys absolutely love your channel just subscribed and turned on the notification bell. My name is Abdullah I am 20 years old and I currently live in Toronto Canada. I really love the construction industry and see how much potential there is, my longterm goal is to own my own business that can possibly function with out me. My plan is to first work for a successful home remodeling company to get a good understanding of the different trades, then go for my GC license. My next goal is to work as a project manager and part time in sales to learn as much as I can on the business end. I strongly believe that this will provide with a good understanding and the skills needed to start my own construction business. At the the end of the day I am still a 20 year old and this goal may sound delusional so I hope you may guide me and give me advice on what you think the most ideal and efficient path to take on becoming a construction business owner. I would also like to know if you see value in the formal schooling route (4 year bachelors in construction management) or simply working my way to my goal. All to much within the industry, the management of H@S is somewhat under valued, or at least when contractors beat prices of other contractors, they haven't submitted appropriate costs that entail safe systems of work and their procedures. i can see this is being taken seriously within your business. i applaud you for that.

I have been in recruitment for 25 years and the UK has no fix for these problems. British people are also quite lazy and don't want to work. Little training on offer, low pay and a one sided economy, financial services in London. To me, Britain is a failure and faster becoming a pariah state. Your not a powerhouse and I get aggravated with how overrated and deluded the UK actually is.
