Definitely Vas is the best out there to get your sidemount training to a pro level.

Getting trim and balance are the tough parts. Once you get that sidemount is the most comfortable diving

Looks like a real shipwreck to me, thank you for posting that. Maybe someone can open their channel and show us their definition of a real wreck

Could you do the same in a real wreck, with fishnets and lines ? The room is rarely the main problem...

At first I was skeptical about the addition of a boltsnap, but seeing how you used it as a handle too was genius. I'm sold!

What’s your preferred method of weighting with a BP/W? I’m currentky using ditchable pockets but I bought a BP/W because i wanted to get rid of that bulk around the waist.

I’ve had good success and have found it MUCH easier to do when placing one end of the double-ender in a vise mounted on a bench.

Hello, I'm a woman who lives in South Korea. I got to know skin scuba at 49 years old late in Korea and it's been 4 years since I started diving... I was so fascinated by the sea that I even took on a challenge as an instructor last year... Then I happened to see your video.. Your videos always teach me... I always think that I will be a peaceful diver... I feel a lot of comfort and emotion through your videos.. Always stay healthy...

Hey Vas, a serious question for you, I'd love to learn the reasoning behind SM with ally tanks. I can 'legally' only get 207x11lt of gas into them, and then need extra lead as they morph into floaties by the end of my dive. So apart from playing around underwater, donning/doffing & general acrobatics with them, what is the attraction pls? Cheers!
@DiverbyDesign3 ай бұрын
Hi, so I agree - they are a "bad" choice and I would not use them by default. However, you have to roll with what is available when you travel. In Mexico, Egypt and some of Europe they are all you can get - so the point is to be able to dive with them and understand what you need to do as a diver to make anything work. The Alu tanks have been falsely associated with SM in my opinion - and that's partly because of SM "emerging" out of Mexico where the Alu is the most common. I personally will take a medium weight steel every time is available. Does this help?

@@DiverbyDesign Thanks for confirming my opinion is valid, and I get what youre saying about adaptability too. I have limited experience (and hated) diving ally's on domestic travel here in Australia, but I realise I must get familiar with them if I want to roam the globe when I retire. Thank you so much for taking the time on this Vas and I hope to see all you gods of diving in Gozo one day ;) Keep up the fantastic work!

Hey, so it's a complete mask strap with velcro side straps. It was actually a very kind gift from a diver (no pressure OK!) and I can try to find out more OK. Hope you get to dive this wreck again 😁
@onestar763 ай бұрын
I like your mask strap, is that a neopreen strap or just a cover for over the silicone strap? If it is neopreen where did you get it from?

These are Steel tanks. 13.3Kg "dry weight" (no valve). It is a misconception that you cannot remove Steel tanks, as you can see :-)

@@DiverbyDesign Wow concave steel hey, I had not seen them before, but I recognise the neck diameter now that you mention it. My LDS would love these and stop complaining about my Faber 12.2s without boots lol. Nice work holding 1 of them out in front mate, now show us 2 haha - Cheers

Well, for male yes, but for female diver like my girlfriend who’s weight is only 50kg, Razor wing will be too small as she’ll need so many buoyancy just to lift her up is using high pressure steel cylinder, that’s what we found when she was using LP50 in Florida
