Hey, Jake. I have the 2022 Supreme board, and I just grabbed the 2024. I was comparing them directly today, and the main thing I noticed that was different between the two, other than the weight, was the "speed walls" on the toe and heel side edges. They both appear to have pretty much EXACTLY the same shape otherwise. Right? What specifically does that flat sidewall do on the 23/24 compared to the 22? I heard how you described it in the video, but does it simply reduce chances of catching an edge when doing surface rotations or landing sideways? Does it reduce water flow (less drag?) over the top side of the board on those edges since it's less of a sharp blade and more of a wall? Do you notice a difference riding with a sharp versus speed-wall edge if everything else is the same? I have many other boards in the shed, and I've noticed that the main difference between most edges seems to be in three main categories: "speed wall" edge, a sharp knife edge, or an upturned edge like on the Murray pro boards. I know the upturned edges on the Murray boards are for sure to help reduce chances of catching those edges and smacking down (I've noticed that when riding), but I wasn't sure what the tall side walls do specifically. Thanks for the info! P.S. these Supreme boards are really in a category all their own.. It's super interesting. They are just BARELY continuous rocker in the center section, and the three stage rockers are definitely much bigger than most other three-stage rocker boards... Like the point at which they angle upward is more towards the center of the board than most boards, if that makes sense. And it's also a pretty significant angle compared to most other three-stage rocker boards as well. The 2022 board definitely drags on my arms a lot more then any of my other three stage or continuous rocker boards, it was noticeable, but the pop is also way more noticeable than any other three stage rocker that I've ridden. It's pretty awesome. Everybody needs one in the collection for sure, lol. I haven't ridden the 2024 yet, but I have ridden boards with those tall/flat sidewall edges, and it's just hard to tell exactly what they do.

Hi! Hope you love the '24 Supreme! as for your questions: In addition to the speedwalls, we changed the rocker line to be more blended between the continuous and 3 stage. We shortened flat spot on the 3 stage edges to bring the rocker lines closer together with the goal of adding speed, predicability, and a more controlled roll onto edge. The flat speedwall makes the board sit higher in the water when on edge, reducing drag and making it easier to generate speed into the wake. I believe there is a very noticeable difference between a board with speedwalls and one without. I hope you like the changes! I believe it became a much more user friendly board with these updates. Less drag, less swing weight, and more predicability. Thanks for the questions and hope this answer is helpful! P.S. thank you for the kind words!

@@JakePelot Cool, thanks for the additional explanation. I have not ridden the 2024 version yet, I plan on comparing the 22 and 24 versions this weekend if the weather is nice!

whats size Mod 84 is this.. the 4'2" or the 3'9"
@JakePelot24 күн бұрын
This is the 3’9! They are both great but lately I’ve been loving the 3’9 for how maneuverable it is
@dennissorokin3872Ай бұрын
Quick question for a wake jump do you stand tall in the trough of the wake or do you stand tall past the trough on your way up the wake?
@JakePelot29 күн бұрын
It can be hard to time, but the goal is to stand tall at the top of the wake, not in the trough. Really though if you maintain your edge and are standing tall by the time you leave the wake you should get a solid release.

hey how do you find your supreme board rides? does the tightening mechanism on the boots last you a full season? my mates looking at getting one and i want to make sure it holds up for longer than a season 😅
@JakePelotАй бұрын
I love it! It’s been such a fun board to shape and so stoked on how it turned out. Super friendly and snappy. The boots have been great also. It’s so nice having the boa for adjusting. Highly recommend the setup! The boots have treated me well for a long time, but if for some reason you ever had any issues Ronix’s warranty is great!

I'm about 195#, so I bought the 4'8" Ronix foil that came with the 1300cm Balance wing and have the 28" mast. In my 2nd season with the foil, and am still not very good. (Would help if I went out more.) I can get up and stay up in the calm water, and trying to learn how to ride the wave. I saw in the videos you have the 4'1" board and the Speed wing. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the different size board and different wings? Why do you prefer the Speed Wing? Do you every use the shims?
@JakePelotАй бұрын
Yeah! So, I ride at smaller board because it’s a little bit more nimble, the bigger one is more stable but will not turn as quickly, which tends to make it good for learning. I think you could ride a 4’1 perfectly fine, but it won’t necessarily make it easier, it’ll just let you move quicker once you are comfortable with foiling. I prefer the speed wing for a similar reason as the smaller board. The speed wing is quicker to turn and accelerate than the balance wing. When learning to ride the wave the balance wing is definitely a better option for stability and predictability with movements. I have used the shims before, but only when I feel like I need more lift. Most of the time, though, shims won’t help all that much unless you have a specific feeling you’re looking for by adding them. (I.e. more or less upward pressure from the wing) Hope that helps!!

I am a heavy surfer 240 LBS, we have a Tige rzr20 with the tapps system but i feel i am not getting enough push to surf. What about speed the boat up to 11.5 mph and say tapps 3 your thoughts?
@JakePelotАй бұрын
Sometimes in a smaller boat speeding up will actually take away from your push. If you are struggling to keep up, I’d suggest around 11mph and then play with your taps setting to get the wake to stand up as much as you can (3 or 4 is probably a decent place to start) That said, I have never been on a RZR20, so if that doesn’t work, the best way is to play with everything so you get an idea of what settings work for you.

Hey man I'm looking at the supreme. Biggest it comes is a 145. I weigh 225. Just seeing if it'll be too small for me or not? If so I'll look at the rxt that comes at 148. Thanks
@JakePelot3 ай бұрын
Hey! I think the 145 will work well! It stays pretty wide through the tips so plenty of surface area. It’s also pretty fast on the water so that’ll help too. Hope you love it!!🙌

does the tige make a better wakeboard wake than an ATX. I tried an ATX recently and could not get the wake to cooperate. Surf wave was fine on the ATX. Rest of the boat was fairly nice.
@JakePelot4 ай бұрын
The wake on my 22RZX is great! Possible the ATX just wasn't set up right, I've had quite a few fun sets behind them, especially the 22 ATX. If you have any questions on wakeboard wake set up for a specific model definitely reach out! I've gotten to ride behind most of the Tigé and ATX line🙌

Wakethief question please : i am a wakefoiler + pumpfoiler on a Lake. I want to catch a wave from a passanger ship, my pumping speed is normaly 10mph, the ship is crusing about 7 mph. How can i catch the waves without sinking ? ? ? Thx Peter
@JakePelot6 ай бұрын
Hey Peter, I haven’t done this specifically. 7mph is pretty slow, but if you are able to keep momentum moving side to side (carving the wave left and right) you may be able to keep your foil’s speed high enough to keep lift, even though you’re only moving forward at 7mph

From your experience, what watersport is the most fun and beginner-friendly when being towed behind a jetski? Foiling, wakeboarding or water skiing? We just got a jetski and we’re trying to decide which one to get into
@JakePelot Жыл бұрын
I’d say they can all be a blast, but wakeboarding behind the jetski is probably the most versatile!
