@@tiamiyufatimah1684 all they need is the NIN number, if you have the slip you can go with it if not the number is just fine. If you have your birth certificate you can take it along maybe there’s some update on that but I didn’t need that for my passport renewal.

Those things are needed for kids except they have updated the documents between now and January when I applied for my passport. I didn’t have to upload any of those things

No they don’t sell the envelopes, you have to buy it from the post office either at your location or any post office in London.

However, I have another question; on the six page where you required to upload birth certificate, Local Government indigene certificate and so on, which did you provide? I’m asking because first, I can provide a birth certificate but all other certificates like indigene, marriage certificate and non or dual citizenship etc (since I don’t have all that, should I upload just my birth certificate and leave the rest) Lastly I found that the 5years for 32 pages is now $150 (in pounds it is £118.45) Abeg I will be glad if you can asap ☺️🤝🙇‍♂️🙏 Thanks @Iamblakcoffee

@@BrightMusic77 that’s great about the fee, I’m guessing they work with the exchange rate and it’s favorable right now so do it right away before the rate goes up. As for those documents you don’t need to submit any of that except you’re applying for a passport for the first time or for a child’s first passport. For renewals they won’t ask for any of those.

At the passport office they check to verify that your NIN is valid before they proceed, does that answer your question? Or do you need a place to verify your NIN before starting your visa process?

It’s advisable to start your visa renewal process at least 6 months before your visa expires because there’s only 1 visa center for Nigerians in the whole of the UK and they attend to hundreds of people daily, which means there’s always people on queue and biometric appointments can’t happen as quickly as you would want. When there’s no closer date for biometrics , there’s simply no date and in one day they attend to not less than 500 to 700 people, that’s a huge number (I was no 163 as at 8:30am). If you think it’s best for you to go to Nigeria then you should because your visa shouldn’t be on an expired passport. If you already have an appointment for September 19th then follow that, it’s correct if you have done that correctly on their website, your passport should be out in 2 to 3 days so you’ll still be able to get a new passport before the current one expires. You can also go back to their website to confirm your appointment date, print your appointment slip and confirm other details.

@@Johnthegriot1 oh as for NIN I was able to retrieve mine from Adam house in London, it’s a few minutes walk from the immigration centre. I’ll try to go through my things for their contact information, I’m sure I kept the card somewhere then I’ll share with you.
