There is a small mining village near Barnsley called great Houghton. That also has a village next to it called little Houghton. Wonder which one was established first.

@@TheManWithNoName. I just kept buying the many books of circular walks that were available. The books did keep me cocooned within the circle of the walk but on the plus side they provided all sorts of interesting information. A typical example would be somewhere like Fotheringhay. The book tells that it is the birthplace of Richard 3rd and Mary Queen of Scots was incarcerated there and later executed there. All that history in a village about as big as a postage stamp population 119. The book also explains why there is nothing but a mound left of the castle because over time after it was abandoned the locals nicked all the stone to build their houses and barns. Stuff like that. Very enjoyable, thanks for posting. You mention in the commentary that it can be a bit of a lottery when taking photographs and that some disappoint when viewed on screen whilst others are a pleasant surprise. The purists would say take things as they are and never intervene or manipulate to get a better shot but I disagree. I was driving to work one day and I saw the potential for a shot in Wellingborough. I was always early every where I went and work was no exception so I used the twenty or so minutes I had in hand to pull over and watch and wait. I sat in my car thinking “go ahead and tickle her” but although it almost happened several times the “tickle” never came. As time was running out and I did not want to be late for work I intervened. I approached the subject and asked him if he would follow my suggestion where to position himself so I could get the shot. He duly obliged and “tickled” her. kzbin.infoUgkxO1Q16moAkIZJ0X_0aaXTzbEX5ICdRHDC I have in the past messed around with a photograph to get an effect that I was hoping for on the day but which never materialised. This example of a mourner in All Saints churchyard Wilbarston will illustrate what I mean. kzbin.infoUgkx00RUb08XJNN8aehvd6Ar7dXOD6gSbrli

Haven´t seen the videos you mention about the music added on but I get your feeling about it. As a kid I saw Chariots of fire (1981) and since I did a lot running around as a kid I felt these men struggle and so on and then the music from Vangelis came in and I was "WOOOOW". For a long long time I was thinking it was so proper english and found it his name and "But it is a greek name". Nevertheless a great tune and still reminds me of England, although I never been there. So I do understand that some music feels more "home" then other music might. Plus these fields, not only in this video but also in general are just made to run on - now I am to old and lazy to do any running 🤫

@@TheManWithNoName. The copyright issues, it is a slippery sloap thing. Sometimes I know videos get taken down quite fast and sometimes they stay up. Old music should be ok, since there are videos that have classic music in and they have been for +12 years in some cases. Hope it will work for you when you upload it.
