Square steals. We are a new business about to launch literally in two months. We opened a Square banking and wanted to use it for all of our business banking needs, because of its perceived ease of use and options, how it was explained to us on the phone before. How wrong were we... Yesterday we wanted to transfer OUR (not Square transaction generated money) into our account, immediately we encountered a bit of a problem and my partner, thank god, decided to just transfer $5 to test. That went through. Then we decided to transfer more and we were greeted with a big stop sign screen, and then an email that our account is in review. This is fine, happens all the time. Today I call and a lady on the other end says not to worry and that the account will be unblocked within a few hours. An hour later we get an email stating that our account is deactivated and that they will hold the money that we have there for 90! days. Thank god it was only $5, I cannot even fathom what would we do if we transferred more. Most likely it would bury the business since it is very time sensitive and on a tight schedule. So I call again, and the guy tells me that it is over, my account is done, they essentially stole that $5 (LOL), and, by the way, he would appreciate if we would cancel the banking account with them right now. Amazing! I wonder how other companies do business with them if they can arbitrarily hold the funds for the fun of it, how can you operate and rely on someone like that to handle your money. And again, it was our money, not transaction generated money. Do not use them guys, nightmare fuel.

Stellar content on Square Email Marketing! If cold emailing is a long-term plan, I strongly recommend DoYouMail. Managing multiple domains has been a breeze with their user-friendly interface and automatic configuration for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Did I mention unlimited email IDs? It has a cost-effective plan at $40/month. Covering more tools like DoYouMail in your videos would be awesome for us email enthusiasts!

Dude, your tutorial on starting with Square Email Marketing is on point. Speaking of cold emails, give FilterBounce a try for email verification. Keeping my bounce rate under 1% was a struggle until I used it. It is affordable at just $10 a month, and the real-time verification API integrates smoothly. Tricky domains are not an issue anymore. You should cover more tools like FilterBounce in your content-it is a lifesaver.

Enjoyed the video on Square Email Marketing-that is some solid advice. For someone getting into cold emailing, Mystrika is a hidden gem you should explore. Thank you for your interest! The iPad can connect to WiFi or use an Ethernet cable with the hub. The Stand can be secured to your countertop sing the adhesive plate or drill hardware included in the box.

This is all great and easy to use but why didn't you include the ability to personalize the emails to the customer? So, instead of just saying "Thank you for being a top customer", it could say " Thank you for being a top customer <first name>"? It seems like that is a basic missing feature for a paid service.

I couldn't figure out how to change the website theme. Accidentally, I chose the wrong theme, and when I wanted to change it, there literally was no option to change it after you choose. It really sucks.

I have a brand new S24 ultra & it worked fine at first. Now at checkout it keeps telling me to enable tap to pay or connect hardware. It IS ENABLED & still won't work. I have deleted & reinstalled app., force stop and still won't work. Help!

Sorry to hear that you're both experiencing this. As of June 12, there is an ongoing issue with Tap to Pay on Android devices using version 6.45 of the Square Point of Sale app. Some Sellers have had success using Tap to Pay after closing and reopening the app. Please let us know if this works for you.

To determine which transactions were included in each of your transfers, follow these steps. 1. Visit Balance in your online Square Dashboard. 2. Select the available balance section under locations. 3. Choose “view all transfers.” 4. Select a date range of your choice. 5. Select the transfer you’d like to view to see the transfer details, including individual card payments. Currently, you’re unable to connect both the Square Terminal and Square Stand to the same cash drawer at the same time. However, Square Terminal can connect wirelessly to the Square Point of Sale, Retail, and Restaurants POS Apps on iPad. Learn more here: squ.re/3V0Ncef.

on a moto g22, tap to pay and NFC is enabled, it says to hold the card behind the phone, tried holding the card everywhere and nothing happens

Sometimes the reader doesn't recognize the card with the customer in front of us so we have no choice but to manually enter it . Shouldn't we be entitled to get that fee back. Not our fault the customers card is worn out.

I have a computer repair shop, and for the last 4 years I've had my love/hate relationship with the Square POS Terminal. In theory, I love the device, the screen, it offers magstripe along with all the features of the Square reader. The reality is, I've had problems with it freezing, rebooting, not holding a charge sometimes, and the latest is I had to do a factory restart, and it keeps freezing in the middle of setup and/or updating, and won't work. Anyhow, with that said, I see the Square reader will do most of what I need (I can forego the wants like the screen and magstripe), however, it says it will pair with a bluetooth device, but then says works with Android and iOS apps. My front desk girl has a laptop (which of course has bluetooth), can it be paired and used with a laptop instead of a phone or tablet?

@@square Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I've already been working with support on my terminal, and we're not having any luck. That's ashamed that the reader can't connect to a laptop. As for the virtual terminal, I'll check that out, thanks.

STOP!!!!!! DONT DO IT!!! OH MY GOSH, if you use Square and download it, you are asking for the WORSE! THEY TOOK $2,000 OFF of our debit card AND out of our CHECKING account which was a total of $4,000 and then they closed my Square app with no reason why. I've used them in the past, but it's been awhile. They have ALL OF YOUR personal information and you'd be begging to be a fly on the wall at my house with this horrible experience that may take 90 to 120 days to hopefully resolve.

I have many concern with my Square account, but you didn't resolve anyone of them yet. My live chat option isn't working from last 5 months, even i have changed devices many times. It appears that live chat is available but when i click on it, it doesn't perform anything. i have even sent you emails regarding this but still didn't receive any update. Very Disappointed.. You even don't care of your customers and doesn't resolve your customer's issues which you can. I know this is your system glitch, which can be done right away...
