In my ME21N t code, There is no search help. How do I find the table?
@JhSoftech
@JhSoftech 14 күн бұрын
Hello! In SAP S/4HANA, if you don't see a search help in your ME21N transaction code, you can find the table by following these steps: Use the Technical Information: Place your cursor in the field where the search help is missing, then press F1 to bring up the field help. Click on the 'Technical Information' button (the hammer and wrench icon). This will display the table and field name. SE11 - Data Dictionary: You can also go to transaction code SE11 and enter the table name from the technical information. This will allow you to view the structure and data of the table. Check Customization: Sometimes, the search help might be deactivated or not assigned properly. You can check the customization in transaction code SE80 or consult with your SAP Basis/ABAP team to ensure everything is configured correctly. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask

Is BAPI and BADI for ABAPer or Functional Consultant?
@JhSoftech
@JhSoftech 14 күн бұрын
Great question! BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interfaces) and BADIs (Business Add-Ins) are primarily used by ABAP developers. However, functional consultants should also have a good understanding of these concepts, as they often work closely with developers to implement custom business requirements. If you need more details on how each role utilizes BAPIs and BADIs, feel free to ask

Hi how to use SE15 TO find the baadi
@JhSoftech
@JhSoftech 14 күн бұрын
To find a BAdI using transaction SE15 in SAP ABAP, you can follow these steps: 1. **Open Transaction SE15**: Start by entering SE15 in the command field and press Enter. 2. **Enter the BAdI Name**: In the initial screen of SE15, enter the name of the BAdI (Business Add-In) you are looking for. If you know the exact name, enter it directly. If not, you can use wildcard characters like '*' to search for a partial name. 3. **Execute Search**: Click on the Execute button (or press F8) to start the search. 4. **Review Results**: SE15 will display a list of BAdIs matching your search criteria. You can select the appropriate BAdI from the list to view details such as its definition, implementation classes, and where it is used. 5. **Navigate to Details**: To see detailed information about a specific BAdI, double-click on its name in the search results. This will take you to the details screen where you can view the BAdI interface and its implementation classes. Using SE15 is straightforward for finding BAdIs in SAP ABAP, helping you locate and understand how they are structured and used within your SAP system.

@JhSoftech
@JhSoftech 7 күн бұрын
In SAP ABAP, the shortcut key for arranging or aligning the code in the same order within a loop is **Ctrl+Shift+F**. This shortcut formats the code according to the standard ABAP indentation rules, making it easier to read and maintain.

Hello , thank you so much for an explanation. I have found in my environment a program where user can input the key word in the field, add an * , then press F4 and it returns the table with restricted values range. Maybe you know how to implement this? P.s. unfortunately F4IF_INT... module is absent in my environment. To do an usual Search Help i used HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE
@JhSoftech
@JhSoftech 8 күн бұрын
Thanks for your kind words Happy that my videos were helpful to you. To implement a custom F4 help in your ABAP environment without using the `F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST` function module, you can utilize the `HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE` function module or create your own custom search help. Here's how you can do it using `HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE`: 1. **Define the Internal Table with Possible Values**: Create an internal table that contains the values you want to display in the F4 help. 2. **Implement the F4 Help**: Use the `HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE` function module to display the F4 help dialog with your restricted values. Here’s an example to guide you through the process: ### Step-by-Step Example 1. **Define the Internal Table**: ```abap TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_value, key TYPE char10, value TYPE char50, END OF ty_value. DATA: lt_values TYPE TABLE OF ty_value, ls_value TYPE ty_value. ``` 2. **Populate the Internal Table**: ```abap ls_value-key = 'A001'. ls_value-value = 'Value 1'. APPEND ls_value TO lt_values. ls_value-key = 'A002'. ls_value-value = 'Value 2'. APPEND ls_value TO lt_values. ls_value-key = 'A003'. ls_value-value = 'Value 3'. APPEND ls_value TO lt_values. ``` 3. **Implement the F4 Help in the Event**: ```abap MODULE value_request INPUT. DATA: lt_return TYPE TABLE OF ddshretval, lt_dynpfields TYPE TABLE OF dynpread, lv_repid TYPE sy-repid, lv_dynnr TYPE sy-dynnr. lv_repid = sy-repid. lv_dynnr = sy-dynnr. CALL FUNCTION 'HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE' EXPORTING search_table = lt_values title = 'Select a Value' IMPORTING return_tab = lt_return TABLES dynpfields = lt_dynpfields EXCEPTIONS others = 1. IF sy-subrc = 0. READ TABLE lt_return INDEX 1. IF sy-subrc = 0. LOOP AT SCREEN. IF screen-name = 'YOUR_FIELD_NAME'. screen-value = lt_return-fieldval. MODIFY SCREEN. ENDIF. ENDLOOP. ENDIF. ENDIF. ENDMODULE. ``` In this example: - An internal table `lt_values` is populated with possible values. - When the user presses F4 on the field, the `HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE` function module is called to display the possible values. - The selected value is then returned and displayed in the input field. ### Using `HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE` Ensure that your program is structured to handle the F4 help properly. If the function module `HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE` is not available, you might need to create a custom dialog or search help to achieve similar functionality. ### Custom Search Help If you prefer to use custom search help, you can define one in the Data Dictionary (SE11) and link it to your field. 1. **Create Search Help in SE11**: - Go to SE11. - Select Search Help and create a new one. - Define the selection method and fields. - Save and activate the search help. 2. **Link Search Help to Your Field**: - Go to the screen where your field is defined (SE51). - Assign the search help to the field. This method leverages standard SAP capabilities and provides a robust solution for dynamic F4 help. If you need further assistance with either method, please let me know!

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate your perspective. While it's true that some interviewers prefer concise questions and answers, others might delve deeper to understand a candidate's thought process, problem-solving abilities, and depth of knowledge. Here are a few points to consider: 1. **Variety in Interviews**: Interviews can vary greatly depending on the company, role, and interviewer. Some interviewers might indeed prefer brief, to-the-point answers, while others look for more detailed explanations. 2. **Depth of Understanding**: Sometimes, more detailed answers can showcase a candidate's comprehensive understanding of a topic, their analytical skills, and their ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. 3. **Preparation**: It's always good to be prepared for different types of questions. Knowing how to give both concise and detailed answers can be a valuable skill during interviews. 4. **Context Matters**: The context of the question often dictates the length of the answer. For example, behavioral questions might require more detailed responses to adequately describe past experiences and the thought process behind decisions. I aim to provide a broad range of potential questions and answers to help viewers prepare for various scenarios. Thank you again for your input-it's valuable for improving the content and addressing different audience needs.

Hello sir, I have watched your video and it is very informative, but I want to create a workflow which contain an event of one OO ABAP class. so that I can initiate the work flow from any of my report Program or TMG event. Can you suggest me some KZbin video link or Documentation for that?
@JhSoftech
@JhSoftech 10 күн бұрын
Sure! To create a workflow in SAP that involves an event from an OO ABAP class and can be initiated from a report program or a TMG event, you can follow these general steps: 1. **Create the ABAP Class**: Define an ABAP class with an event that will be triggered. 2. **Define the Workflow**: Create a workflow in the Workflow Builder (transaction SWDD) and include the necessary steps. 3. **Link the Event to the Workflow**: Use transaction SWEC to link the event of your ABAP class to start the workflow. 4. **Trigger the Event**: Write a report program or TMG event that triggers the event in your ABAP class. Here are some resources that might help you: ### KZbin Videos 1. [Creating a Simple SAP Workflow](kzbin.info/www/bejne/ip-UXnR7iLeantU) 2. [SAP Workflow Tutorial](kzbin.info/aero/PL6hZo0-ANOSUYhGk7JKs7w-zyHb263TPR) ### Documentation 1. [SAP Workflow Documentation]( help.sap.com/saphelp_snc700_ehp01/helpdata/en/c5/e4a930453d11d189430000e829fbbd/frameset.htm ) 2. [SAP Community - Workflow](community.sap.com/topics/workflow) 3. [SAP ABAP OO Programming](help.sap.com/doc/abapdocu_750_index_htm/7.50/en-US/index.htm?file=abensoo_objects.htm) ### Steps in Detail: 1. **Create an ABAP Class with Event**: ```abap CLASS zcl_my_class DEFINITION. PUBLIC SECTION. EVENTS my_event. METHODS: trigger_event. ENDCLASS. CLASS zcl_my_class IMPLEMENTATION. METHOD trigger_event. RAISE EVENT my_event. ENDMETHOD. ENDCLASS. ``` 2. **Define the Workflow**: - Go to transaction SWDD. - Create a new workflow. - Add steps (activities, user decisions, etc.) as required. 3. **Link the Event to the Workflow**: - Go to transaction SWEC. - Create a new entry and link the event of your ABAP class to the workflow. 4. **Trigger the Event in a Report Program**: ```abap DATA: lo_instance TYPE REF TO zcl_my_class. CREATE OBJECT lo_instance. lo_instance->trigger_event( ). ``` 5. **Trigger the Event from a TMG Event**: - In the TMG event, write code to trigger the event in your ABAP class. If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
