While maladaptive daydreaming may serve as a coping mechanism for depression and intrusive, compulsive thoughts or as a form of escapism, creative daydreaming represents a deep form of meditation and a state of mind wandering, which is crucial for enriching our imagination, self-discovery, problem-solving and the pursuit of our aspirations. To dare to dream creatively, we must possess courage and a "moral renovator": The power of free speech. Your words undeniably embody these qualities, leaving us with no choice but to hold a free-thinking, courageous professor like yourself in high admiration and regard and no choice but to dare to dream. Your unimaginable and extraordinary talk is truly appreciated! Thank you 🙏

@Media UUUF Thank you for a lovely service, and as I understand it a quick switch from "intended plans." Thank you for a great first time welcome for myself and my parents! <3 - Allie

In the Yarn/Web, Time For All Ages exercise I would like you all to notice that when part of the web snaps, people still work to hold it up as well. And then we work to repair it. It takes work. It takes community.

Enjoyed helping to further the service and loved the topic. I think it went well.

It went more than well! You ladies did such a great job, and I learned quite a few new things about our founding mothers.

I go to a different congregation but I enjoyed the recorded presentation, I grew up in the northern state of Chihuahua and the celebration was mostly unknown there a couple of generations ago (from what my parents tell me) so I mostly follow the more modern version, I don't know much about the culture of Yucatan so I also appreciated hearing about her research.

For those that are joining us on the stream today that are new to our service, the time of joys and concerns is a private time for us and we will return in a moment.

Thank you for making this available to all. Being alone is challenging, and it is wonderful to share community with you. --Lindsay Stroh By the way, the typo about peaches (instead of peace) made me think of John Prine when he sang, "Eat a lot of peaches." He died last week, but his spirit lives on in his wonderful songs that give us hope.

Thank you for being with us Lindsay. We hope to be able to physically be together again soon, but until that time comes, we will continue to do what we can to be in community with one another.

We have realized that there is a typo in our Principles. That will be fixed for next week. As much as we all love peaches, we don't think that they will do as much to promote world community as will peace. :-)

Please excuse the jittering video, it is the result of trying to stream video over Zoom. This is a learning process for us all.

As with most UU congregations, we are just a few minutes late getting started this morning.
