Keep in mind the FLX10 is a controller, so the stem separation is still done in rekordbox/Serato, the hardware buttons are just dedicated triggers for the software. You can also map an older controller for stems, in example with the performance pads, using midi

Chris would you say its better to do this on AL ? I use FL studio and just getting familiar with it and do not see other tutorials about mashups on FL so wondering if everyone uses mainly AL to do this ? Would you recommend i get AL too ?

My experience with FL is that it isn’t made for this so much as for making beats etc. It may not be the answer you want, but this might be a “right tool for the job” scenario. Pretty sure everything he does can be performed using the stock plugins and working within the limitations of Ableton Live Lite, which you can get for real cheap or sometimes free with a piece of gear, if budget is a concern. You don’t need the fancy version to mash tracks.
