Good for you, but that doesn't negate the fact thousands upon thousands of owners had consistent problems with theirs. Chronic waterpump, transmission and brake master cylinder failures. Let alone just driving one is comparable to a 2000 era Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's just plain awful.

@@joshuaanothereraseddad It also doesn’t NEGATE the fact that thousands upon thousands still love the vehicle. However, at least you offered some reasons why it’s despised.😀
@joshuaanothereraseddad9 күн бұрын
I don't reckon I'd say thousands, but a few hundred at best haha! Not sure if I see more 1st gen Neons or H3s at this point? 😁 Ultimately, all manufacturers produce vehicles good and bad straight off the assembly line. It's just some models tend to have more that lean toward the not so good side. PT Cruisers instantly come to mind, or the Focus/Fiesta transmission debacle. Like I stated to another's comment regarding the H3, all three owners I've personally known have had nothing but problems. They've all since moved onto other vehicles. So, as you and others have found a few, "diamonds in the rough", it still does not make it a vehicle one should just run out and willy-nilly purchase as a daily driver.

I've taken a lot of these apart. The small magnets in these are fantastic. I also pulled a few batteries using them in other projects. My question is, have you ever tried to use the board as a general 1S protection board for the battery by bypassing the pressure sensor? It would be nice to recycle the entire assembly and getting a 1S board to boot. I think it may be possible by bypassing the sensor and connecting the output control wire to something like an on/off switch instead.
@joshuaanothereraseddad17 күн бұрын
No, I haven't messed around with the board. I have, however, been able to use one as a battery charger by attaching alligator leads to the battery wires. I agree it would be great to reuse these little boards. Have a great day!

What if the “peeps” just came here for an instructional video? You think the “peeps” came out the other side knowing how to actually do the job or should they wait for Jesus to do it for them if they just believe hard enough? I guess Jesus will tell them about the tool they’re going to need to get the tensioner pulled back to get the belt on. Listen, I like Jesus. He’s not God and no more the son of God than you or me but that’s not my issue. You can like him, love him or even worship him if that’s your thing, but that doesn’t change the fact that he doesn’t know a thing about working on a car. He rode into town on a donkey, not in a minivan. Instructional videos instruct. They don’t require prayer or Faith or addressing people you don’t know and are about to thoroughly disappoint as “peeps”. Jfc

What if a 1988 manual transfer case how do I get the gears to line up
@joshuaanothereraseddadАй бұрын
I would think with a manual style that you just be able to turn the shaft with a pair of pliers to the neutral position. I'm not sure what one looks like so unfortunately I'm not the best to offer assistance.
@wesleymilby1017Ай бұрын
@@joshuaanothereraseddad I gotchs so my issue is I had to replace the transfer case adapter gasket and I had my truck in park and the transfer case in 2wd not neutral and when I put the tcase back in the gears from the transmission and t case aren’t aligning up
@joshuaanothereraseddadАй бұрын
Okay so you'll have to engage the tcase into neutral and then spin the shaft until it aligns with the transmission. You can also pop the transmission in neutral and spin that shaft. I'm pretty sure theres a wide spot between two of the teeth on the inside of the tcase shaft. That will need to align with transmission side. You may need to use a flashlight to find spot on transmission side. In some cases there is no wide spot and the buggers just have to be fiddled with until they finally align. Having the tcase ultra straight is very helpful. I hope you can get it sorted without much more hassle.
