I bought a 2008 4X2 with the tow package. It's a fixxer upper but I'm willing to put in the time. Mine still runs well and tows well. MPG I wish was better but I'm right there hovering near 20mpg when driving the truck for efficiency. I think with a few more adjustments I'll be able to break 20mpg pretty easily. I don't think you touched upon it, but these trucks get cracks at the exhaust manifolds. It's a pretty common issue. My truck has it and I'll eventually go with a header solution. It's just something people should be prepared to deal with if they get into one of these trucks. Also the 2008-2015 has larger brakes, a revised interior, improvements to the rear axle, and like a +500lbs bump to the payload. Worth considering for the folks out there shopping for one of these trucks.

Hey there, I just received my 4 tires today & had them mounted (Achilles - Desert Hawk AT3 - ADK38 for a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4x4, FACTORY STOCK size: LT245/75R16) and I'm wondering if you think they'll be ok? I financed them for around $800 including interest. Is that a "deal"? After having them mounted (The ones I had were bald) It was a major improvement it seamed. Let me know what you think. Thanks...
@thedriverscorner
@thedriverscorner 2 ай бұрын
@@littlelego not a fan of financing stuff, but looks like the consumer cost of the tires in that size was about $640 or so.. so financing charges and mounting for another $160 isn’t terrible.

@@thedriverscorner Hello, Yeah I live in "The Sticks" where there's nothing, quite literally in Northern California, but was able to have them mounted & balanced for $90 no tax. Everywhere else here (keep in mind, i'm in the middle of nowhere) they wanted $150-$200 just for mounting (Our gas in comparison is $5 a gallon, $6 a month ago). So I think I did good there. I'm just wondering if you think these tires will last longer than 1 or 2 years (I had another brand similar "Budget" brand, I paid $1000 a set, that went bald within 2 years). Thanks...

I bought my first Nissan Titan, a 2023 Pro4X last June. I'm really pleased. The sticker was less than its competition and the dealer gave me a $7k discount and Nissan financed it a 0%. The seat fits my 80 yr old back perfectly. My wife loves to travel in it. One reason I bought a Titan is that I bought my wife a new 2013 Inifiniti EX37 which has been trouble free in 10 yrs and 58k miles. It's 325hp V6 RWD and has that same comfortable back support seat. After driving it my wife said she never wanted a FWD car again.

There is just something special about the 911. I've seen a couple of 996's going for well under $20,000, but they have over 100,000 miles, and you just know that maintenance and repairs are going to be pretty steep. Plus, like you said, there is always a worry that something catastrophic will go wrong. With a Corvette, if the engine or transmission grenades, there are plenty of options available to you that shouldn't exceed the overall value of the car.

2015 pro 4x here. Bought it used with only 32k miles in 2019. Ive had a few issues but 90% of issues were caused by my driving habbits.. (wet shots of nitrous) i currently have 110k miles on stock everything other than cheap catback from amazon, this truck is unreal. I tourture this truck daily and no issues. My front diff is starting to make some noise but that was expected doing 4x4 hi launches with 100 shot. Simple engine and simple trans. Great value for work horse.

Great video. We as warm blooded Americans need to follow your cue with finding a good value in a vehicle. So many are tied down with what is popular or more expensive. I have heard nothing but great things about the Titan. This confuses me because I’m heard that it will no longer be produced.

Truck people were really loyal to their brands. Even Toyota doesn't do anywhere near the sales that GM and Ford get with their full sizers. I'm a Nissan guy so the Titan was fine by me. Toyota, I decided to avoid because of the frame rust issues they have experienced.

Late to the party- I have 2017 Titan, Texas edition here and let me tell you something , the trucks big! This is my second titan and I’ll say that it’s good to have the towing capacity of over 9000 pounds. I’ve got the built-in trailer brake I’ve got the tow mode on the column shift and the truck has tons of room. You’ve got a good looking truck there you oughta get one of those empire stickers from Star Wars and put it on there. Kind of funny statement. Make no mistake about it though I’m I got my truck for work for transporting stuff to get paid . I don’t wanna work for anyone else I wanna to be my own boss therefore, I needed a truck to do it . The trucks big to me because the F150s was I used to drive back in the 80s if I were to compare it to this truck look like a real small truck. This is equivalent to about F250 from then. Having the lift kits a good idea I may do that myself. I have to tell yours they’re good to have but they are a pain in the ass because everyone wants to hit them so you have to fold them in. And the truck is so big that I have to park on the street near our house cause I can’t park in the driveway not enough room. So I have to run some lights that I stick on the back of the truck every night so people know where the truck is and don’t hit it. Of course, with the bumper that I have, which is a third-party very militant looking bumper if they hit it with their bitty cars, they’d die… I like the truck for work, but if I didn’t need it for work, I’d drive i’ve been car like an EV or something. I like to drive my Goldwing motorcycle a lot and you laugh but the gas mileage on that is bad too it’s laughable, but that’s the truth .
