People tend to unconsciously gravitate towards those similar to themselves while, at the same time, unconsciously rejecting newcomers. This cultural clash intensified significantly after the Age of Exploration, allowing people from different continents to interact more frequently. The United States and Canada, being the largest immigrant countries globally, have a history filled with conflicts between newcomers and those who were already there. This includes early colonizers and indigenous peoples, as well as later immigrants and the early settlers. The integration of diverse cultures is an eternal topic, and this video sheds light on many facets of these conflicts, making it excellent.

You forgot to cover the first (50) Chinese settlers who came with Captain John Meares in 1788 to build a trading post. The 1858 Gold Rush was the first major wave after that.

Why are the Chinese immigrants depicted so horrendously racist? Chinese people have eyes. If you can only get an artist that depicts Chinese people with slits for eyes, it means you have gotten an artist who can’t draw. Try a Chinese artist to do Asian characters.

There's a reason why there's such a big racism with Chinese in the first few batches of Chinese immigrants coming to Canada. They mostly came from Southern China, around Taishan region. Those area were already subjugated with many racism and hardships during the late Qing era. Many sold themselves off to boats that shipped them off to San Francisco during the gold rush. Not to mention the West does not have a favourable relationship with the Empress Dowager because she does not want to see them, let alone make deals with them, and that's because her husband died in the Summer Palace and she had to take care of her son to make him the heir. And because of inner corruption that lasted since Jiaqing era (the Empress Dowager's great father-in-law), the West find it easy to take advantage of China. Hence, many leased lands ended up in poverty, along with opium addiction, prostitution, violence, and incredible hardships. China, reason why the West even settled in Canada is because explorers were trying to find another route to China, because China had been an empire full of resources, resources that they didn't have. They were once a technologically advanced, culturally advanced empire that was far beyond the West. But since finding the Americas and developing lands in the Americas, and many other colonized lands, they have found other resources to catch up to China, which was why things like porcelain and teas were considered a big rip-off to the West and the Chinese thought they've always offer the same price, why change now.

You have a selective history bias because you want Asian people to feel victimized by white people and fuel the ongoing racial tension in the west. I find it sick. Chinese people and Westerners need to come together and stop resenting each other over shit that happened 100 years ago. It was literally made illegal by the Qing to learn the Chinese language and you never hear about the massacres of missionaries that happened throughout the 19th century during the same time period in China. You probably have 0 understanding of the history of 19th century China and are completely content with leftist drivel they taught you at college.
