What is the difference between the clear and black separator?
@CenTecSystemsАй бұрын
The only difference between the 97470 Translucent and the 95798 Black is the color of the plastic. The translucent one is usually preferred as it allows you to see inside if there's ever an issue such as a large piece of debris stuck in the baffle. We also offer the 99208 which is Static Dissipative meaning it is less prone to building up static electricity while in use, this one is only available in black as it uses a special plastic blend.

How many CFM does the transparent Quick Click support? I have searched for information on the web but have not found it. Thank you. I look forward to your responses.
@CenTecSystems3 ай бұрын
The typical portable/shop vacuums up to 220 CFM can operate, and do operate well with our Quick Click separator. The semi-commercial dust collection systems up to 2,000 CFM can and do utilize our Quick Click separator. In many cases the separator is being used through a "blast gate" or similar system at a diameter of 2.5” with a more commercial system like that. The high CFM is typically quoted as an open system; as the diameter of the connecting tubing, hose, or separator falls what changes is the air speed. Should the system be connected to a tool which permits minimal air flow like one might encounter with a palm sander, one should consider a relief valve as the whole system will be starved for air. To offer a more definitive reply it would be beneficial to know specifics of the vacuum, such as make and model number.

I used this with hand plane shaving and it failed miserably. 1/2 of the shaving ended up in the vacuum.
@CenTecSystems8 ай бұрын
We did some tests with a DeWalt vacuum and planer and think the issue may be the hoses are connected incorrectly. Can you confirm that the vacuum is connected to the top of the separator and your tool is connected to the side? If they are connected properly and you're still having the same issue please contact us via phone or email so we can figure out what is causing this problem. Thanks.

It’s not as simple as you make out. You can clean the vacuum out afterwards and rinse the poles of all the sludge. It’s not a 5 minute job, plus it’s filthy. It’s safer than using a ladder I agree, but that’s all

I thing great if you are a home owner or even just gutter cleaning as an add-on would be great but if you really want to clean the gutters or downspouts or even see if there is anything needed on the roof you can upsell you should grab a ladder at the end of the day if you can't see it your just cleaning blind

So what do you do when the down spout is clogged? Or how would you even know it’s clogged with getting up there and running water down the down spout?
@altillman14486 ай бұрын
You run water hose pressure down the downspouts using a gutter can pole. Usually the water pressure alone in the downspout opening is strong enough to unclog MAINTAINED gutters.

This is BS... if u use a hose, power washer, or even a blower to force it clean the debris sprays all down the side of the house and windows. It's a mess and crap way to go about it especially especially if it's customers and not your own home to where u can give into this option. Edit: if it's vacuuming then I can't imagine that small tubing being able to get what a lot of gutters catch. I guess we are all needing more detail

This doesn't even show what machine the poles are attached to? Here's some knowledge as I've researched this stuff for a long time. You can use carbon fiber poles attached to either a gutter vacuum (sucks) or leaf blower (blows). SkyVac and GutterPro are two popular industrial vacs, they're pricey like this one ($1200-2k). Some people like them, many claim they can't handle wet heavy clumps of debris. Blowers might be easier but you have to watch the mess. Probably best to use blowers when it's dry out so you're not blowing wet muck onto the house. You can connect carbon fiber extension poles to a leaf blower via a Fernco flexible PVC coupler, found at Home Depot.

There needs to be a standard fitting size established for systems that produce fine particulates sold in the US... think ASME, ASTM, ANSI level.

Only problem I see: most vacs are meant to be used with 1 ⅞in or bigger hoses so 1 ¼ would probably restrict airflow and shorten the life as well as be a general pain for construction clean up. For something like a 6 gallon vac though this would be great. Would be interesting to see a 2 ½in version as well.
@aaronbailey36402 жыл бұрын
I bought one of these and didn't get good support after the purchase. The wheels where put on backwards. The manual says its a 240 volts, but the tag on the head of vac says 120. Could not get an answer to which volts were accurate so I went to an engineer friend to run tests on it to find out that it is 120volts. I'm glad I didn't plug in into the generator at 240 volts. They have a 3 prong not 4 so that's how I new the 3 prong is 120 volts so if you are looking for 240, look elsewhere. Thanks Aaron

Anyone try it yet? I mean, it's only $50, but I'm traumatized by other cyclonic adapters. Is there a return window? If it works, I'll praise it on my insta, but if uts not very good, I'd hate to have Cen-tec finally let me down, and Id have to honest with my followers... I'm so torn right now. Weird, right? I know. A little of my fav tool brands have let me down.

I totally agree. We need to be able to purchase the sizes we need. I'm not willing to buy a full pack of connectors, just to get 3 of the same size. Why should we have to spend our money on connectors that are just going to live in a drawer because we'll never use them? Not cool.
