I was glad to see you practicing “Catch and Release”. I came very close to cancelling my subscription because I thought you were keeping-or mishandling the bass you were catching. Not enough water in your live well, or rough treatment of the fish in general. These bass are a very precious resource - in our area especially. I fish on average 3 days a week and the only fish I keep are ones damaged to the point they won’t live - which is almost never. And I’m not a hater - just a conservation minded angler. -- Pensacola, FL

Enjoyed this! Gavin, do you see a lot of sturgeon on the Yellow down there? I was fishing it 70 or 80 miles upstream from Log Lake earlier this week and had something jump right behind me. Wasn’t a gar or a gator, and sturgeon was the only thing I could think of that would be that big and jump like that. Stay Safe!

Good job out there! Sometimes it happens like that. But being in an area with bigger fish is definitely important. I think it's important to put in a good amount of practice to find those areas. I was really hoping that you guys were gonna get on a couple of big ones. But you still gave it a good try and you'll bounce back and put the hammer down on some giants.
