15 million views, wow. I've been reading (audiobook) Patti's memoir book "Just Kids" and decided to pull up her singing on youtube. It's kind of weird that she just wanted to be a poet when she was 20 or so. She got a guitarist to accompany her for some of her poetry readings and was subsequently persuaded to actually sing in a trio. That led to a full band and fame. I highly recommend her book, which she read herself for the audiobook. She was a nobody who became friends with many of the great musicians, artists and poets in New York.

Really enjoying playing this over and over agaion this cloudy day out West. And from reading comments below, the guitar players is not Jesus, as many mention, far more real, the guitar player is Jackson Smith, son of Patti & Fred 'Sonic' Smith (of the MC5).

I wish that young women today had only 50% of the rebellious attitude and artistic talent to pursue with power instead of using 90% in their appearance on Instagram, Tik Tok etc. and only 10% in what they say to share with the world want. Unfortunately, women rebels and artists like Patti no longer exist today.
