Big thanks for this help. Mine was showing fully charged with three green lights but when I tried to switch it on the green lights turned to a single red light. Quick nudge of the motor and it worked. Sprayed some wd40 in the cavity while it was going for good measure. Again many thanks.

a) this is why bike lanes in urban areas are stupid. By european standards your roads are plenty wide enough for cycles and cars, but a scary percentage of your drivers are so dopey they couldn't hit a barn door with a ship. Improve your driving standard. b) cyclists are not higher-moral-plane users who deserve special accommodation from all other road users. Other road users GRANT you additional consideration because if we didn't you'd quickly become a flesh pancake. You're not special - you're vulnerable on your high horse. c) You arrived to the situation last - you wait, or deal with the situation civilly. Nobody except the road planner should have to anticipate your arrival.

Dėl dvirtakių blokavimo automobiliais - pikta, bet kalti ne vairuotojai, o tokių gatvių architektai. Deja, pas mus niekur nesistengia atitraukti taką nuo važiuojamosios dalies, todėl normali automobilio sustojimo vieta prie išvažiavimo visada yra būtent ant tako. Lygiai dėl tos pačios priežasties tiek daug avarijų nutinka kai vairuotojai įsuka į įvažiavimus - tiesiog atliekant manevrą sunku pastebėti aklojoje zonoje esančius dviratininkus ar paspirtukininkus. Jei takai būtų atitraukti nuo gatvės - įsukęs vairuotojas pastebėtų ir dar turėtų erdvės stabdymui jei reikia... Bet net visiškai naujai tvarkomose gatvėse tai nenumatyta (matyt kol nėra tokio reikalavimo, tai ir nedaro).
