This place was genius. Knowing the park can't run year round they had pool, bowling dancing and a roller rink to keep it going year round. Huanting and sad video but somehow it manages to trigger all the great times at the park. Were blessed we grew up in a time were we had so many choices. Drive ins, amusement parks, roller rinks, this generation missed all that.

why wouldn't they rebuild it? didn't they make enough money from the almost 100 years of being open? that got me so mad. the sad thing is I live in Dartmouth and I know who burnt it down! but I think there in jail.

Chippewa Lake Amusement Park in Medina County Ohio has suffered the same fate as Lincoln Park-Look at it on You Tube-there is a tree that grew up right through the middle of the Ferris wheel

Goodbye Sweet Lincoln Park. As sad as it's been to see you slowly fading away, it's sadder still to know you're gone. Those of us that were fortunate enough to have known you will always remember you with love!

Well done. The music really adds to the depressing mood of it all; especially for those of us who remember being there. What makes it so creepy is the how scary it looks now, but at the time, it was full of fun, laughter and non-stop good times for so many people.

I spent 2 summers in the mid 70's working at Lincoln Park. These pictures are so sad. It was a great place in its day. I only recognize a few buildings and of course, the roller coaster.

Super fantastic job with these photos even though they are really putting a damper on my childhood/teenage memories at the park. I actually rode the coaster one day before it had an accident when he back car slipped off the tracks. I also rode it continuously for about 45 minutes the last year that the Comet was operating. I remember there was one guy operating it that day and no line at all. I rode it about 55 times until my girlfriend at the time said "thats enough". Thanks 4 the post!

nice photography....actually...great! I liked the B+W touch. I'm a former photographer frm the 90's. Last time I rode the coaster was around 1979. The music ppl comment about first reminded me of the soundtrack piece to Titanic. come to think of it - this is similar to Titanic - only we don't get to see Jack and Rose get together again.

Thank you Roxas for your nice words. Lincoln Park was a place to frequent with family and friends. It was a wonderful place that will be missed greatly. Bringing "Grandpa" along in the station wagon (beach wagon) was the thing to do. :)

Thank you everyone for your comments. I've been asked numerous times about the music. Unfortunately, I don't know who it is. I have a cd of music for making movies with no names on it...it's a copy. I even have a music teacher doing some research on it. So, if anyone finds out any info, please let me know! thanks, Dolly

It's crazy how much things have changed just since I shot pictures in the Fall of 2008 for my videos. I definitely need to head back again before all the leaves start growing. This was a very moving video. Gorgeous pictures.
