Hey Polaventris, Someone gave me an early build of My Summer Car and was wondering if you think it's okay for me to make a video about it. I tried reaching out to Rojola but haven't heard back yet, so I figured I'd ask you. Also, for future reference, what's the best way to get in touch with you if I have questions? I tried Twitter, but it didn’t seem to work. Steam maybe? (I already have a video of an older build of My Summer Car, and I thought it would be fun to make one of an even earlier build!) Thanks in advance for your help! :)

I can't say what Toppless would say, but if you have a legal copy of the game, I don't see why not. Twitter is good place to message me.

@@Polaventris Thanks for the answer! And yes I have owned MSC legally for quite sometime now. I'll try asking through twitter. I also wanna know if I can upload a cut version with highlights/clips of the topless gun interview/Q&A on my channel?

Used to play it with my older brother. Hard as nails and some levels were impassible if you didnt have a colour screen. But I loved that the music built up during the levels the further you got, really ramping up the tension.

The Style is nice but that was all positive. The game is exremely boring. The view collect ables you can get are completely useless. So when you die (always at the same boss because the game is so unbalanced), you start with nothing again. Why should I play on that game ? There is absolutely no reason. Especially there are games like the handy-game "soulknight" that has a lot of more content, more bosses, more rooms, moor items, more chars, moor crafting, more of EVERYTHING! And its free and not PayToWin! Blazing Beaks costs 15$, but why ??

I agreee, the theme music on the title screen is really nice, that's how I always thought as well. The ingame music isn't that good and the first "Bounder" game hat a lot more charm. The idea to be able to shoot was meant to enhance the gameplay but really: You're busy enough finding your way through the level. ;-)

Thanks for the review, I wrote this game back in the day, I cant remember how long it took, the thing with this one was the cones being movable and the large car sprites, as far as I can remember they were made out of all 8 sprites, expanded sprites for the colour and others overlayed for the outlines, the game was a speed test for the drivers not a test for the cars as some reviewers claim, Being a Hot Rodder and mechanic before i wrote games, I was therefore a big car nut at the time and this was a popular sport, and still is in some places much like hill climb racing. Being a mechanic all the powerups/car improvements were as accurate as the c64 could do back then. Anyhow enjoy!

you know untill very recently when shadows of doubt was released i didn't ever think any other game filled the gap that this great game left.... which is funny because at the time there was also murdeer on the zinderneuf, and a few years later Dick Tracy Detective game or something like that, and nothing like this till now, really hope were not waiting as long for the next open ended procedural detective game, i hate all the scripted puzzle games, this is much more like what i expect from a detective game, but finally shadows of doubt has answered my prayers. btw it was called "Murder" in Europe
