Car is looking fantastic dude, I love it. If you looking for a nice oem upgrade on the brakes, you can use accord cu2 discs and calipers, factory on the accords is single pitson, where the cu2 is dual piston with some bigger discs.. you can always get them drilled or slotted if you want. Also, that hood\bonnet is so damn cool

Awesome car, I'm always surprised by how cheap European cars get in NZ - over in Germany where I just bought a car, an A6 with the 3.0 TDI in that condition would still easily cost 8000 Euros! And most will have over 300,000kms.. Also nice to see the NZ countryside again, I grew up near Orewa and still have a manual E36 328i parked up at my parents place there!
@renevermeer66193 ай бұрын
For some reason in New Zealand (probably due to perceived parts/servicing costs), European vehicles do seem to drop considerably lower. But if you're well connected and know where to source parts, they're a bargain! Oh did you? That is awesome! Sing out if you need someone to take it out for a drive.
@HotForgeChaos3 ай бұрын
Oh no what have you done indeed.....yeah they go good but those timing chains are a ticking time bomb. Why it only affects the 3L TDI I don't know because our Q7 4.2 TDI doesn't tend to have that problem. Still, body is nice and straight, so it's a good base to work with. If you want to find out what a 4.2 oil burner goes like then I might be able to find a way down your way for a go (you will be rather surprised how well 2.4t of Q7 goes)
