Hell, that's how I learned to drive when I was a teenager. My Uncle would take me out in my V8 Dart and find a wet or snowy road and have me do that over and over again until I learned how to control the car without spinning it around. The Crown Vics were good because they're long. It gets harder with short wheelbase cars like Mustangs, Camaros, like that and those with crappy weight placement when it comes to where the motor is. It gets really fun with shortbox pick ups. I used to scare the hell out of my wife because I did what I called "Redneck U-turns". I would spin my truck round 180 degrees. Not a J-turn, going the other way and then pull into our driveway straight. It was a little harder to do with my 2001 Jeep Cherokee I had later on, but it would do it. The truck I have now, a 74 Ford F-100 shortbox with a 390 V8, well on wet roads, you have to keep it from doing that if you punch it too hard because that truck has so much power it wants to spin around. When your kid learns to drive, take them to a big empty parking lot after it rains or a little snow and start them off by having them go into spins, don't get crazy, but you can't teach someone how to recover when the car starts to lose control until you know what it feels like when it breaks loose.

Ha! Maybe from a distance they look nice, but inside and under the hood, they are WHOOPED! Everyone of them have the check engine and a few other warning lights on. This is where old cop cars take their last breaths before they're crushed.
