Connie Frances is one of my favorite singers. As was Doris Day. Such a simple song but so so pretty. We have some good singers today, but just not quite like her. There is just something special about this LADY. Thanks for the beautiful songs and memories MISS FRANCIS. 😊❤

the best song of my childhood........intoxicated by cowboys and indians........and this ballad sung by an italian/american, who in my modest opinion was the best interpreter of western songs.....RIP Frankie

Time to start fighting back. These young men didn't lose their lives so that people who won't fight their own rights in their country can come here and start stealing the rights that many young men fought and died for

Ian Anderson is a typical ignoramus who thinks he knows Scottish history when he knows damn all. The Jacobite cause was entirely right and just since the Hanoverians had no right to the thorne and were a parcel of corrupt and rotten German usurpers. No less than 56 others had a better right to the throne than they. The Prince was far ahead of his generals and if they had listened to him and pushed on from Derby to London they would almost certainly have won the day. But the generals were pusillanimous. The Prince was not trying to "take the English throne" but to recover the thrones of all 3 Kingdoms which rightfully belonged to his father, Prince James Francis Edward Stewart, the eldest son and rightful heir of King James II & VIII. The usurping German Hanoverians had no right to the thrones whatsoever and they imposed a brutally savage Penal Code against dissenters that was the most savage and inhuman that Europe had ever seen including such disgusting punishments as hanging, drawing and quartering . Under the Hanoverians, the rich became yet richer still and the poor were ground down into ever deeper poverty. When George, Prince of Hanover, first came over (with a mistress on each arm, his wife locked in a tower back in Germany) there were riots in over 20 cities in England alone against this German usurper. And, no, you benighted, clueless ninny, Prince Charlie did not "up and ran for France" but he had to be dragged away from Culloden field wishing to stay with his men to fight and die. Thereafter, he remained in the Highlands and Islands, barely escaping from pursuing government troops, for the next 5 months before finally admitting defeat and leaving for France hoping to be back on another day to recover his father's thrones. On Culloden field, "Butcher" Cumberland ordered all the wounded and many of the prisoners to be brutally murdered in cold blood. That was the nature and character of the depraved Hanoverian usurpers. It was Hanoverian rule that was a "disaster for Scotland" not Prince Charlie. Read some history and learn the facts, Ian Anderson.
