That is actually a PCM. The 2002 Focus combines the TCM with the ECM. So it can cause transmission problems too.

I wish you would have showed how you take the fuel pump out of the tank. there is a float assembly that will keep you from getting the assembly out of off the tank. There will be some people that will get stuck trying to get it out of the tank. I appreciate you taking the time to explain, it is a little helpful. Thanks

I just did this… ratchet wrench or even a box wrench 15 mm .. just reach around from underneath, you can’t see, but you can feel it. Once I broke it loose, I spun it off in about one minute, getting it back on again was like 20 minutes because you’re working blind…..but near the end, I got pretty good and I was able to ratchet it on quite quickly at the very end. I just struggled in the beginning.. There’s no need to take any of that top stuff off
