Hi, what kind of lathe are you using? Im trying to find one like that. Thank you in advance.

Hello. The Lathe you're talking about is the floor-standing drill shown in this video. This drill was made by myself and used to be sold at my store, but production has now been discontinued and it is no longer in stock. Please look for something similar somewhere else. Thank you.

Hi, would you be willing to sell me the blue prints on how to build your lathe? I would like to build one for myself. I would like to know which parts to buy and how to assemble it. Thank you

Since the blue print is my know-how, I cannot give it away, but I will send you a photo of the finished product that I am selling. Please send your email address to me. My email address is on my homepage, "www.wazaoyasu.com/". It's mostly in Japanese, but if you click on the part that says (お問合せ), the email address will appear. Thank you.
I came across your channel while searching for wazao making techniques. I am not a fishing rod maker nor an angler. I am trying to make a walking stick out of bamboo. And your videos are amazing. Thank you for sharing, master!

Thank you. I also make several sticks with this finish. If you give me your email address, I can send you the stick photos. My email address is [email protected].

@@望月和竿工房やす Thank you so much for replying, sir. I have sent an email to you this morning. Hope to hear from you soon.
This black lacquer makes the fishing rod stronger and more flexible, doesn't it?
@望月和竿工房やす3 жыл бұрын
That's right. However, what is more important for increasing the strength of the rod is the silk thread wound underneath. By hardening this silk thread with "Japanese lacquer", the strength is increased.

Japanese bamboo rod has been called "WAZAO" in Japanese, it made of natural materials. Especially Japan has been used as the painting material. Here I used English name Japan is not a name of the country. It’s a name of paint. It`s some time called Japanese lacquer, We call it "URUSHI" in Japanese.
@望月和竿工房やす3 жыл бұрын
We use URUSHI from long time ago. It has been found in the remains of the ancients from 6500 years ago in Japan.
