I've been scouring the internet for information on how to actually dry them. It's really frustrating. It feels like I'm being told to "clean the top of a rocket" "you have to clean the top of the rocket" so I go searching for ladders. 3 months later you hand me a fine for not cleaning the top of the rocket, but I still have no ladder. I'm not usually an operator. I'm a programmer who's used to having tools. The PMBOK and Scrum and other things to ensure the jobs get done.

Don’t do the 350. It’s no longer made or supported. Before is good for small simple operations and a TLS 450+ is best for larger complex sites 😊

Been hauling fuel 11 years. About 3 years at Eagle. Night drivers not using vapor recovery hose is the norm. Being paid by the load, they think they’re saving time. It’s not worth it.

Hi Scott. Time to send them this link, I reckon. Depending on the state and the customer's throughput, they may be in violation of Stage I VR rules by not hoking up.

I left there 5 years ago. I’m working today and saw a buddy of mine who’s a driver/trainer there. He assured me they’ve tightened up since I left. He said anyone caught not using VR is terminated on the spot! I was glad to hear that, I don’t want to see anyone getting hurt. Have a blessed day!

Here in Greece it's prohibited to enter any gas station while refueling is taking place. Looks like hot catalytic converters can easily ignite vapors, so this is probably a good reason to close the station during refueling.

People aren't going to know where to find this switch in a high stress situation. Just telling people there is a emergency shutoff doesn't do anything. People have to know where it is and how to access it properly or it's gonna get out of hand quick

we have a 30 year old generator with a Veeder Root TLS 300 system in Texas. we replaced the fuel probe and now we are getting a high water alarm. we check and test for water and it shows no water in tank. the tech that was sent out to look at it couldn't find the problem.. what do we do??

Man that's a tough one. Maybe there is some thing that is pushing up the water float at the bottom of the probe that is causing it to trip? The only thing I can suggest is get another service technician in there. Sorry.

There’s no emergency shut off at the pump. An army of yappers. It’s on the building and they have one inside. The employee should have turned it off

I worked for two different fuel delivery companies over a 6-Year period. The first was a midsize company that focused on non-traditional customers such as mines and off-road farms. We also did deliver to large format gas stations. Many of these places were so old, vapor recovery did not exist and was not a thing. You can theoretically be following all the rules, yet have something like this happen. If it is available, it should be hooked up... But I dropped many loads with no vapor recovery.

Typically vapor recovery is only required in dense metropolitan areas or sites that receive significantly large delivery volumes per month. So those out-of-the-way smaller sites may not be required to do vapor recovery.

Hi Brett. There's nothing to set, actually. The ullage is just basic subtraction: Take the total volume of a tank minus the fuel in it.

What’s the purpose of the REG SLAVE TANK? How low can you go before ordering gas?

The slave tank should be an old term for two tanks that are manifolded together. Please check your inventory on both tanks. They should be identical and have a siphon bar that drains them simultaneously at the same time. Hope that helps.

They're usually on the side of the building plus there should be another at the cash resisters. If they we on every dispensers they'd probably be tripped all the time.
