I will add the following recommendations: * Uldis Zarins: *Anatomy for Sculptors* , *Anatomy of Facial Expression* , *Form of the Head and Neck* * Taco: Various Books (Stylized anatomy for manga/anime) * Bridgman: Various Books (Great if you know basic anatomy. Not for beginners) * Valerie Winslow: *Classic Human Anatomy in Motion* , *Classic Human Anatomy* * *Stonehouse Anatomy* * Eliot Goldfinger: *Human Anatomy for Artists* * Michel Lauricella: Various Books in the Morpho series (all great!) * Stephen Rogers Peck: *Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist* * RockHe Kim: *Anatomy Drawing Class*

Hey Rob I’m a beginner trying to learn how to create comic book art in Procreate, I’m interested in buying one of your courses but aren’t sure where to start. I mainly just want to learn the cool pieces like the cover and big headshots, not really scenes as much. If you could recommend me something that would really help me with that I’d be ecstatic! Thank you
@RobertMarzullo6 күн бұрын
@@fkj2.0 I have one course on drawing superheroes but I use Clip Studio Paint for the process. It should still apply to Procreate if you feel comfortable with the app and things like layers and blending modes. It’s mainly about drawing the characters and some inking and coloring techniques for the end project. I will make some more lessons using Procreate for comics soon. Thank you for asking and good luck with your art!

Also…”shift A does NOTHING for me…I do it, nothing happens. 🤷♂️
@RobertMarzullo7 күн бұрын
I can probably walk you through it. First off Shift + A is just a hotkey for adding an item. So you have to be in Object mode in the top left. ( It won't work in sculpt mode. ) You can see the "Add" button just to the right of "Object Mode." Then go down to "Image" and then over to "Reference." From there you can find your jpeg or png. Png is nice because it supports transparency if you want to have a cut out of your image or artwork. Make sure when you do all this you are already set into the orthographic view that you want. You can hit "1" on the numpad on the right not on the top. If you are in front view in orthographic mode the image reference will come in nice and parallel to your front view. Then you can start to model over the reference. I hope this makes sense and let me know I you need anymore help. Thanks for watching! -Robert

Weird question... Could u send that to a 3d printer? Do different face parts and glue them together to make a full head?
@RobertMarzullo9 күн бұрын
Should be able to sculpt the full head and send it. A lot of 3D printers come with a slicer program and if it is too thick to print they slice it up. You can also hollow out the model to save on the material. A buddy of mine printed a Hulk that I sculpted. It was pretty cool to see something I sculpted made into an actual 3D figure. I think he printed the front and back as separate pieces and glued them together.

@ArchitecturalAesthetics204612 күн бұрын
which one would you recommend for character sculpting, zbrush or blender?
@RobertMarzullo12 күн бұрын
Zbrush is more powerful for sculpting and more of an industry standard but Blender is free or open source with more overall potential because of hard surface modeling, animation ( 2D and 3D ) and powerful rendering. Plus they keep making significant updates all the time. So Blender for the win!
@ArchitecturalAesthetics204612 күн бұрын
wow. I didn't know you dabble in 3d. such a multi talented artist. Do you find your 2d drawing skills transfer well to 3d? back in the renaissance days masters like davinci and michelangelo can do both quite well.
