Ivy Tech needs to take Webwork away because it really does nothing. It makes the class more difficult.

Marica, sorry you feel that way. As I acknowledge in the video it can be frustrating to use any online homework because your answer must be precise. Webwork allows us to provide FREE, INSTANT feedback for students. We'll continue to explore options and work on improving all aspects of the course. Check out the other resources and tutoring options available.

wow. I am not a very smart guy, but it was easy for me to understand how to create a credit card and APR Excel . Thank you very much. I do have a question. I want to be able to see how much I have left to pay if i enter a certain monthly payment. How can I add that...

What does sigma x respresent in this case? (e.g. Sx represent sample's SD)
@rebeccawulf48068 жыл бұрын
+Shivani Thapar: Both are standard deviation. Sx is the 'sample standard deviation'. Sigma x is the 'population standard deviation'. As their names imply, you use Sx when you are working with a sample and you'd use sigma x if you have the whole population. For a look at the formulas and how they are different, I refer my students to: www.mathsisfun.com/data/standard-deviation.html

Great, but can you also explain the variance? It seems not even the Multiview Pro shows the variance. Doing it by hand is such a chore <.<
@rebeccawulf48068 жыл бұрын
+Aspartem This calculator give you the standard deviation, which is by definition, the square root of the variance. Simply use the technique shown to get the standard deviation and then square it. I agree finding standard deviation/variance by hand is tedious. I believe that math courses should have students do it once 'by hand' and then introduce a technology to do the work for them.

I dont know if anyone is having the same problems with this calc. but for me it has a problem with the buttons.. if i press them too quickly they dont regester.. which is very bad for a test!! If anyone else is having these same issues please let me know. If this calc is a pos, we need to let people know so they dont buy it.
