Mariah I love you so much and you are so talented and inspiring to me and so many people. I have been in theater since 2019. My whole theater life I have been told the only thing I will ever be good at is crew, which I can agree with as I’ve won awards for lighting. But I have been a dancer since I was 3 and I am now 16, I’ve been singing since 2016. It was getting to a point where I genuinely couldn’t stand being told that I wasn’t meant for my dreams. This was until I stumbled across starkid and more specifically you. It was a inspiration for me. I basically sat there and just went “wait what do you mean there’s a theater company that’s honestly surrounded around just making people happy, having fun, and just loving what you do?” And it was such a shock to me. It’s honestly the reason I’ve been trying to keep going. I decided that I’m still gonna attempt to go to AMDA or Julliard for dance and theater in college, and afterwards try to make dance and theater my career. On stage, not behind the scenes (even though I love tech and crew with my whole soul and could talk for hours about it.) To be honest, starkid and you is what keeps me hopeful that someday I will be able to do the dream that made toddler me happy.
