Bike repair stands are primarily for what I call “rough riders”-fellas and gals who push themselves and the bikes to their limit and end up damaging their two wheelers. The term “avid riders” is not as descriptive as rough riders. In any case, ordinary cyclists can get by without such a stand. No harm in buying a good one just in case. Get really familiar with it so you’ll know how to use it properly when the time comes. Let a pro do the major repair jobs. Your job is to simply ride, have fun, and stay safe. Don’t let your bike become a job.

I'd say that the Gore Wear C3 is the best as the Castelli isn't as easy to put on and isn't as protected underneath. Castelli is only better if aerodynamics is your main thing and if spending $20 less matters.

I have the AGM TM10-256, and for the money, I think it is a pretty good unit. I got it mainly for detection of things that go bump in the night outside the house, so I am not hunting with it, just spotting. I like that it has internal storage, 4 color palates, and some zoom, although 8x isn't really practical, or useful.
