There's talent out there these days... too much visual show. Not enough real musical talent without building a song that's half stolen riffs by digital tech. The human element of raw talent is lost in all the preprogrammed trash.

Honestly this band is slayer in a blender, nothing interesting or new. Dime used to make jokes about slayer solos being random notes and it’s true. If you hate God, this is a perfect outlet, nothing more, nothing less. Jeff was the mastermind behind Slayers style aside from Lombardo, and Kerry was just a guy at the right place and the right time. So glad I got to see Lombardo play in 2012 before they let him go.

As having seen vai at few 3 tours, it was kind of humbling even to myself to see him take a back seat as a rhythm player most the time. And Danny, my favorite drummer, then with the crimson kingslol, it was such a great mix!

@Randy9504 күн бұрын
It hasn't. I guess you didn't even watch the whole video, because his vocals on Matte Kudasai, Frame By Frame, Waiting Man, Three of a Perfect Pair, Neal and Jack and Me are all flawless. You missed out and are just doing a sour grapes routine. This was one of the best shows I have seen in years.
@Randy9504 күн бұрын
@@davidryan7386 It was fine for those of us who were there. He also did it for the closer Thela Hun Ginjeet. So what? He isn't trying to act like he is singing them. They are SPEAKING parts. Not singing. It's called narration, look it up.

I really like it. He’s reminding me of Hendrix. I don’t really know about guitar playing. Maybe it’s just his clothes lol. But his playing has this like wild/liberated quality but you can hear where it comes or what it grows out of. I don’t know how to explain it well. I’ve not really listened to a lot of Steve Vai but damn I feel like he shows us his soul here

One of thee greatest bands of all-time. The reason I know this is seeing them live 1977. I had to peel myself off the wall! I am serious. These guys could make goosebumps look small.... Not a fan of the silly bass parts during the breakdown.

I was 19 and had ridden my BMW R75 from Lemoore with one thing on my mind...Black Sabbath. I didn't give a rats ass about who else was playing that night, especially these guys! I rode home later that night with one thing on my mind...Van Halen. And let me add this: I have seen some of the greatest rock bands in history play in the Selland Arena. Some of the greatest times of my life were spent there, over many years. And I will always remember them like it was yesterday...
