Can you Bring a calculator into the testing area?
@suishohamaru7 жыл бұрын
No, you have to use the calculator app on the the testing computer. The only thing you can bring in is the approved reference books, and the facility should give you laminate and marker to use as "scratch paper"
@seanshepherd67677 жыл бұрын
Okay so the app is a calculator and it put questions into the formal for you or you have to do that as well?
@suishohamaru7 жыл бұрын
The app itself is just your standard calculator that you would see on a pc or phone. So in terms of figuring out the order of numbers, where to put them, etc. is something you do yourself. Generally you will find they provide you 2 of the 3 numbers. They always give you the information, but sometimes getting to the numbers you need takes a bit more work or fishing some information out of the book. Whether that's a minimum pressure or a flow density conversion to flow.

can you explain where you get the .20 from in this calculation for Ordinary Group II? I understand there are a range of potential values for this group (.15-.2)
@suishohamaru8 жыл бұрын
john kent sure thing. if you reference the density chart in nfpa 13, which in 2013 edition is 11.2.3.1.1, the bottom of the curve on density for ordinary group 2 is 0.2 to calculate the least square footage
