Thank you for this fine sermon, Todd. Mike and I appreciated the songs that you referenced, and your hopeful reminder of what Jesus did for us. We prayed along with you that all who hear this message will accept Jesus’s gift of salvation. (It was fun to hear the train whistle in the background, too!). We miss all of our Cheney Community Church family, but it gave us joy to know that many also watched this sermon. He is risen!

I like Psalm 46 especially 1-3 1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. It fits with that Corrie Ten Boom Quote you shared. Looking at the world can bring distress, but no matter how messed up the world gets, even if the mountains crashed into the ocean our God is still enough to deliver us from fear.

David Roth: Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
