Yes coasters are safe you have a bigger chance of dying in a plane crash or winning the lottery twice in a row (both of which are pretty unlikely) then to die on a rollercoaster

My personal top 10 (out of the 52 parks I've been to) 1 kings island (mostly because of the operations) 2 cedar point 3 silver dollar city 4 Busch gardens Tampa 5 seaworld Orlando 6 islands of adventure (I found every coaster here overrated and the food is abysmal but I just love the theming) 7 Busch gardens Willamsburg (I think Busch gardens Tampa is better in every way except theming) 8 holiday world 9 dollywood 10 Tie - (Between Fiesta Texas and Hershey park)

Of parks I have been to: 1. Blackpool Pleasure Beach 2. Cedar Point (used to be #1 but they've gotten worse imo) 3. Kings Island 4. Canada's Wonderland 5. Kennywood (I haven't been everywhere) I count theme parks as a separate category, too hard to compare Disneyland to Cedar Point for example, just 2 different kinds of experiences in my mind

Agreed. There's no such thing as an objective "best" - I mean, you could come up a prioritized, weighted ranking of objective criteria, but it would still be somewhat subjective in nature no matter what. So it'll really vary person to person based on their own personal preferences!

I've been going here since the mid seventies when I was a kid and have ridden all the coasters that are there today and some that are no longer. I rode many on their opening years such as The Demon Drop, Maxgnum XL and Millennium Force. You failed to mention the fun house that they had that was so cool and I wish they had of kept it. I only got to experience once my first time there, also the Space Spiral wasn't mentioned either. Very few parks have those these days, but it use to be common place in almost every park during the 70's and 80's. Also, Maxx Air does NOT go upside down. I've ridden it numerous times and it has never done a complete loop. It gets very close though. I need to get back since they have opened up the new boardwalk section since I was there last. It's definitely my favorite park with the BEST coasters around, but now that Cedar Fair has aquired Kings Island, it is starting to shape up as a great coaster destination too, and it's much closer to where I live.

I hate those little jack rabbit hills at the start before the lift and the ones at the end of the ride. I prefer B&M smooth, fast style. Makes no sense why those are there, they hurt.
