186mph is nothing special in terms of ball speed, Tiger, Daly and others were doing that in the 90s, the difference is now the 186mph ball flies 30 yards plus further

Thing is he could have hit an iron to the corner, wedge close then hole tne putt for a 3. Why take the risk of hitting it OB for not much gain? With tne bunker where it is there's no way to get it close off the tee.

How do you practice this shot on your local course? I was going to re-take up golf except with a potato cannon. The adjustment is amount of lighter fluid and aim. You could see scores like 42 for 18 holes. You can use regular clubs if you want.

I love how the course designer protects the hole with bunkers in the driving zone and around the green. But Rory just takes them all out of play by taking the shortcut over the corner. Very satisfying to watch.

being a great at driving the ball in golf is great for your game but the most used club of any golfer in any game will always be the putter 🍀

Justin Thomas was always a bad putter and Jordan was only good for a short period and he’s been bad for more of his career 😂 also tony finau has the worst looking putter setup on tour possibly , other than anyone without a conventional grip It’s not really the setup that’s the problem for some of these guys , they just have the yips

Reviewing his latest scores Driving is the only thing he is doing well these days He's about 5th or 6th on overall driving distance Hopefully he plays better in the Masters

His tee shots were so bad the first 2 days it put a lot of pressure on his short game and eventually that will lead to a breakdown in my experience.

true. +1 strokes gained to suddenly -7 is pretty drastic though. And for JT to be ranked in the bottom end of strokes gained putting the last few years might point to some change needed.
