There are differing opinions and many ways to do it. I do this for car dealerships and to do it the way you recommend would take me 4 times as long and 4 times the cost to do and my price would have to increase dramatically. The dealerships I service understand completely what I do and why the price can stay affordable for many repairs I do for them. They are completely satisfied with both work quality and price. I use it on other rims. But I've found it is what I need for diamond cut wheels to paint them where other paint colors have to much metallic in them. I mainly use it on diamond cut wheels.

For my car dealerships that I service it is a flat rate with discounts for multiple repairs. I don't really do the general public anymore but when I did it was a rate according to the time and materials needed for repair.

Thanks. Yes I do when needed. I use a glue that has an accelerator spray to dry fast. It's kinda like super glue in appearance but dries super fast with spray.
