A bit of trivia: that "melody" button's mainly to simulate a bullet train arriving at a platform. Little jingles like this play on Japanese bullet trains all the time, AFAIK. And that button you dunno what it does? That's a bell button.

Interesting contraption

In the words of Diesel this is definitely revolutionary. Obviously you know I'm a TWR guy but Tomy/Plarail/Trackmaster is my second favorite range and it'd be nice to metal around with one of these. In my opinion it's basically like the R/C engines but more versatile. Overall great demonstration Steve.
