live in Hoima city UGANDA Introduction Agribusiness, the confluence of agriculture and business, has emerged as a critical sector in Africa's quest for economic growth and development. With a significant proportion of the continent's population engaged in agriculture, agribusiness has the potential to drive economic transformation, improve food security, and reduce poverty. Section 1: Overview of Agribusiness in Africa - Definition and scope of agribusiness - Types of agribusiness activities (crop production, livestock farming, fisheries, forestry, value addition processes) - Key players in the agribusiness sector (smallholder farmers, commercial farmers, processors, marketers) Section 2: Challenges Facing Agribusiness in Africa - Limited access to finance and credit facilities - Inadequate infrastructure (roads, storage facilities, irrigation systems) - High post-harvest losses due to inefficient supply chains - Limited value addition and processing capacity - Dependence on rain-fed agriculture, making the sector vulnerable to climate change Section 3: Opportunities in Agribusiness in Africa - Growing demand for food and agricultural products - Increasing investment in agricultural research and development - Government policies and initiatives aimed at promoting agribusiness - Growing demand for organic and specialty products - Opportunities for value addition and processing Section 4: Success Stories in Agribusiness in Africa - Case studies of successful agribusiness initiatives in Africa (e.g., cotton industry in Mali, coffee industry in Ethiopia, horticulture industry in Kenya) - Lessons learned from successful agribusiness initiatives Section 5: Strategies for Promoting Agribusiness in Africa - Improving access to finance and credit facilities - Investing in infrastructure development - Enhancing value addition and processing capacity - Promoting climate-smart agriculture - Supporting smallholder farmers and youth engagement in agribusiness Conclusion Agribusiness has the potential to drive economic growth and development in Africa. To realize this potential, it is essential to address the challenges facing the sector, leverage opportunities, and promote agribusiness initiatives. Governments, private sector players, and development partners must work together to promote agribusiness in Africa.

Which would be better for a real estate private equity fund? MBA Cambridge or Mphil real estate finance Cambridge or part time MSc real estate investment and finance at Reading university-Henley business school? Undergrad was at LSE maths and economics. So am less concerned about a general university umbrella brand but more specific for the subject and industry. Reading Henley business school seems to be market leader.

The reported increase in the US shale oil production since 2010 might be a result of poor auditing of what’s actually imported into the US of conventional oil vs what’s really produced nationally of all oils. From 2003, war/sanctions-torn Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Iran have become more and more failed states and nobody knows what oil shipments from those nations have ended up - entirely looted - unaudited - since. There is a rhythm in what we see happening in the Middle East regularly - 1948 (Arab-Israeli War), 1956 (Suez War), 1967 (Arab-Israeli War), 1973 (Arab-Israeli War), 1980 (Iraq-Iran War), 1991 (Gulf War), 2003 (US/UK occupation of Iraq), 2011 (Arab Spring), 2023 (Gaza War). The Ten-Year interval appears the period where finite oil reserves deplete more and more to the ground, and the West comes and intervenes - forcefully. Forcefully pushing the population by the agency of War into energy-deprived reality periodically, such as tent-camps-for-the-masses - has become a must since 1948 to spare some fuels - in Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Sudan - and counting. When energy looted - it turns - curse. A curse that destroys in humans consciousness, reasoning and the future. Karl Marx, Nikola Tesla, Einstein, Balfour, Huxley, Orwell, Turing and 20th Century Physicists/Economists - should be forgiven for thinking their systems can last forever. Finite fossil fuels are dangerously hypnotic to humans, their consciousness, reasoning and mental capacity. Humans were not ready morally, ethically and intellectually to start the mass extraction of fossil fuels with the advent of the steam engine 300 years ago. The Magna Carta requires today overhauling - adding to it the right for humans to understand what Energy really is - before any other commandment; “In any system of energy, Control is what consumes energy the most. No energy store holds enough energy to extract an amount of energy equal to the total energy it stores. No system of energy can deliver sum useful energy in excess of the total energy put into constructing it. This universal truth applies to all systems. Energy, like time, flows from past to future” (2017).

Excellent presentation. I was hoping you would’ve gone over the slide that asks: Is Bitcoin digital gold. In terms of its rarity it may seem as digital gold or money, however, Bitcoin is simply an asset with intrinsic value. It’s quite subjective. I would like to hear your view on this.
@CambridgeJBS
@CambridgeJBS Жыл бұрын
Bang talks about how price of Bitcoin has become more correlated with other financial instruments which means it becomes less of a hedge, the way that gold is perceived to be. In terms of value, we might have to wait to take a longer-term view of Bitcoin.

Hollywood California. Funny that this popped up in my feed. I had just said I need to learn business because I am coming out of eight years of being homeless. My time on the streets gave me the opportunity to heal my unresolved childhood trauma. My confidence and self esteem bloomed and I'm no longer stuck in alienated pain. Now I'm ready to begin my life and I know NOTHING about business. Just as I previously knew nothing about myself and how to live and I overcame that so i hope that this leads me into being busibess savvy Thank you for sharing your content !

This might have been the main reason in previous oil shocks and Saudi Arabia did cut output this past year. But the main reason as stated in the livestream is the cutting of gas supply from Russia and the impact it had on Europe which relies heavily on Russian gas. This raises policy questions about energy security, energy pricing and how to facilitate a green energy transition.
