I closed my hot tub down for the summer because it was just too hot to use. Today I cleaned it up, refilled, then flipped my breakers on...only getting a light on the panel but no display. Shut breakers off and back on still nothing. What could have happened during the summer when it was not even powered?

We have a 2024 Cameo...seems like the filter size is changed from 2023 according to when I reorder new inner and outer filters. My issue is we have to keep tub really full of water in order for Smartchlor cartridges to always be fully submerged. Therefore the tub water is really high when just the two of us get in. I cannot make the cartridges go any lower as they are pressed on top of filter and correctly placed between the pleats . Why were the filters changed but not the bracket.
@atlantahottubcenter
@atlantahottubcenter 19 күн бұрын

Hi, so i have been watching your videos for hot tub info. We bought our first hot tub about a month ago. Everything has been great but for the life of me, i can't get the bromine levels to stay at normal. We purged our tub when we first got it. Filled, hot tub cleaner, followed instructions, emptied and filled again. Right now my chemicals are all good. Hardness, alkalinity, and ph perfect. It shows chlorine as perfect as well, but we use bromine so not sure about that. The strips are 7-1 strips. Hardness, free chlorine, bromine, chlorine, cyanuric acid?? Alkalinity and ph. When i shock it, the bromine and free chlorine go to normal. Then a couple days later, below normal to nothing as per color on strip. I have a bromine floater with tablets in it. I use your process, 1tbs of shock when we get out. Just realized yesterday after watching one of your videos, 2tbs add max a week. I had been doing every day after we gett out. I have added spa clear to lump up those skin cells and everything else. That cleared up the water like crazy. There was foam i got rid of that with the defoamer. So I'm sitting with clear water, no foam, perfect chemicals except bromine. I just can't figure out the reason for low bromine based on what has been done. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?
@atlantahottubcenter
@atlantahottubcenter 19 күн бұрын
Good afternoon, bromine is slower to kill bacteria that chlorine and quite frankly is harder to maintain. Chlorine is fast acting and kills bacteria on contact as bromine takes time to kill bacteria so testing is a little more difficult because of the process. In my opinion, I wouldn't suggest a floater with bromine because you never know where to set it. I would add granular bromine on a weekly basis and get rid of the floater altogether. I would add a tablespoon of shock when I get out no more than 3 tablespoons weekly and keep the pH in range. Remember, you can't really balance bromine or chlorine as it's in constant use. You'll add some and then it will go low and you will add more but you can't balance it per say except for the moment in time you're adding it. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, my best advice is to ask the dealer and use the details in the video. If they don't know the answer and can't explain the process then they're not selling self supporting shell hot tubs. That's my opinion. Hope this helps!

Hi! I was wondering if you could help me figure out how to override a hot tub that has a malfunctioning topside control panel. The temp button on my Strong Spa is not responding to touch (the other buttons are working). We have ordered a new control panel, but there is a bit of lag time and we are a small exclusive hotel in the middle of nowhere and I really want the guests to be able to soak. It is stuck at around 82 degrees, everything else is working just fine, except that one dumb button. We have tried flipping the breaker, unplugging the cord to the topside control panel, unplugging the control panel itself and still...nothing. You seem to have a lot of tips and tricks, if you can help me that would be amazing!

have you got info on Spanet mini 2 heater problem trip, Spa world told us to elimantation process, due to our Fisher 5D spa tripping power on start up/ prime. we did that and are now having to pay for a new heater. even know its under warrenty!! they recommended a pump specilist in which we had come out, and he said it wasnt due to chemical inbalance, but they are saying it is… can we by pass the heater when we do a water clean/ balance?
@atlantahottubcenter
@atlantahottubcenter 19 күн бұрын
Good afternoon, you could bypass the heater on a drain and refill but then you wouldn't have any heat. The problem with these enclosed heaters is that you can't just replace the element. I am not a fan of this kind of heater or any component that can't be worked on because it's a replace only scenario. pH levels being off can corrode the heater and cause it to go bad. However, when they remove it you can look at the element and see if there's chemical damage or not. If you see white corrosion and it falling apart you'll know. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, the gfci is in the software of the hot tub itself so it doesn't require a neutral. However, code is going to tell you to run a neutral so best thing to do is cap it off on both sides so it doesn't create an issue. Furthermore, you do still need a gfci breaker per code and I know what you're thinking why do I need a gfci if I don't have a neutral? What we think doesn't matter as we have to follow the codes. Hope this helps!
