As a BSChem graduate, this doesn't follow 'the science' despite his preaching it does. I'm looking to buy my second tub in 30 years, and this video didn't help with the decision. My first Sundance hot tub with an ozonator was great, and I had minimal issues with chemical balancing, but the dry skin issues of traditional hot tubs are what I seek to avoid. Curiously, salt systems are still, after at least 5 years of availability(?), still not offered by the OEM, and that concerns me! Are manufacturers just worried about corrosion claims against their warranties?

Jacuzzi now sells an "extreme cold weather" :add on" for about $700. The cover is upgraded and it also includes more insulation supposedly. Is it worth it in a northern USA environment? Is there any benchmark or site that explains the benefits outside of the paragraph that Jacuzzi has on their own website? Will it pay for itself in a more extreme climate?

Good afternoon, you should just be able to turn the temperature up. There really isn't any magic sauce here. If you can't turn the temperature up or if it's not heating up then something most likely wrong. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, sounds to me like your topside LCD display is going out and will need to be replaced. If you can adjust it down and not up then that would be my thoughts. Now, if you can't adjust it either way, the hot tub could be in temperature lock which holds the display temperature in place. Hope this helps!

With my previous Hotsprings Envoy I never had a mildew issue but now with my newer one (since 2018) I've had mildew build up on, and around my controls pretty much since day one. Are you talking about mildew in the water or on the controls etc.? Will treating the water correctly help with build up on the dials/controls (I can't remember what they're called).

Good afternoon, in my experience, inflatable hot tubs are really more considered to be a temporary hot tub that can be moved or relocated with ease. They tend to not last long and most replacement parts aren't available. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, Make sure to clean your filter. Your filter can slow down or even stop the heating system completely. This is step one. After that I would reset the hot tub by turning the breakers off for 30 seconds and turn them back on. Let me know if this works. If not we'll move on to step two. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, A "PS1" error code on a hot tub typically indicates a problem with the pressure switch, specifically that the circulation pump is running but the pressure switch isn't registering proper water pressure, usually due to low water level or a faulty pressure switch itself; check your water level and inspect the pressure switch for any damage or malfunction. Thanks for your very informative video. Just purchased a new, never used 2021 Chelsea 780 and am having trouble turning the FluidX jets. You mentioned a "key" that comes with the Owners Manual. The dealer I bought from knows nothing about a key and I did not receive an Owners Manual. Located the manual online but it does not mention a key either. Thoughts?

Good afternoon, the key is only for the reflux jet and your dealer can call Sundance and get it. Some of the jets in the hot tub don't turn and some do. @@rosemaryshevchuck5767 Good afternoon, yes and no. Chemicals are really what maintains the water and keeps it clean. Filtration really just takes debris out of water. However, depending on brand you might have some self cleaning systems in place to help you maintain it when circulating. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, you shouldn't have any issues with the 200 or 300 series. However, I would set longer filters cycles as pumps can help keep the hot tub hot. I would also make sure your cover is on properly to help hold the heat in. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, well that's a tough question. There's pros and cons to both but if jetting is the number one most important thing to you then I would purchase the 780 series with the fluidix jetting system. That's the biggest difference between the two. Hope this helps!

I assume you're meant to do this with the pump off, and gravity will flush the air out? Otherwise if the pump is on and you loosen the suction line you'll suck air into the pump, correct?

Good afternoon, yes the pump needs to be off. However, the hot tub could be on as long as the pump is off. For a homeowner I would suggest simply turning the hot tub off and on as needed. Hope this helps!

I closed my hot tub down for the summer because it was just too hot to use. Today I cleaned it up, refilled, then flipped my breakers on...only getting a light on the panel but no display. Shut breakers off and back on still nothing. What could have happened during the summer when it was not even powered?

Good afternoon, so I always suggest never shutting it down. Hot tubs are designed to run 24/7 and more times than not when you shut it down for a long period of time and turn it back on something goes wrong or bad. My best suggestion is keep it on and running in the future and put minimal chemicals in when it's the off season or a time you aren't going to use it. Sounds like your LCD display is out and you'll need a new topside control panel. Hope this helps!

So there is no actual base across the entire underside? Behind the skirting is the insulation which sits on the ground or slightly off the ground and the pvc pipes rest on ground?

Good afternoon, yes that's correct. However, this has worked for them for many years. I don't necessarily call it a bad thing. The pro is that you have more insulation underneath the bottom of the shell. The con is you can't level it really. This comes down to your opinion and preference. Hope this helps!

Good afternoon, I would suggest (2) - 4 hour filter cycles a day to maintain debris free water. This will also help maintain the water quality if you have a ozone or uv light system. That would be my opinion. Hope this helps!
