@MichelleInMinneapolis5 күн бұрын
Yeah, it took me a bit to figure them out. This is not the first time that I've ever used them, but definitely the first time I've used them exclusively. I was impressed though, that they did work well. Previous kits that had them didn't work that well and I ended up using glue instead. For this kit, I only had a glue a few loose connections with the gifts.

Hi Michelle, I bought the Rolife Christmas Street Book Nook. I found your videos very helpful. I am now trying to put battery and lights on this kit but I am struggling to understand the picture directions. The pictures are confusing to me. Are you going to a video on how to attach the battery box and the lights? Thank you so much for doing these videos.
@MichelleInMinneapolis5 күн бұрын
Yes, I recorded that too, I just have to edit them and get them posted. (That's more work than putting the book nook together!)

I enjoy your videos. I bought the same booknook that you did last year. That was my first miniature kit. I learned a lot of techniques from you. Thank you. I am currently working on the Rolife Musical Tree. I am customizing mine a lot. Painting a lot of the pieces. I don't like the brown edges on all of the pieces or seeing the brown connecting tabs everywhere. I definitely prefer the Christmas book Nook from last year. I customized that one also. Merry Christmas to you and your kitty.
@MichelleInMinneapolis9 күн бұрын
Oh, you'll have to let me know how that tree works out. I almost got that one AND the little house that opens up, but I stopped myself. And I agree, I don't really like seeing the edges and the tabs either. Did you see my other customized one, the Northwoods Christmas Camper? That's on the channel too. I love how that one turned out.

I'm not nuts about the look of these easier kits, but always happy to see your return to filming. Hoping you are staying well and happy. Also good to hear you still have your kitty. I still have my cat, Uncle John too.
@MichelleInMinneapolis9 күн бұрын
I agree. It's nice for a change to have the assembly be a little simpler, but I don't like paying the same amount (and sometimes more) for many fewer hours of crafting time. Give Uncle John a scritch under the chin from Katy!

@MichelleInMinneapolis12 күн бұрын
Hi Sorry for the late reply, but actually no. I don't think I could do a tutorial on how to cut very small circles. I hate doing it and I'm bad at it. I usually avoid it at all costs and then I sometimes will use a hole puncher. I've tried to find different sizes of punchers but they're either really expensive or they are way too big.

I followed your KZbins to be able to finish this book nook. Thank you so much it was so much easier than when I was trying to do it alone. My switch to turn on the lights must have a short in it since it wont stay on but that's okay. The sensor on the front of the nook doesn't seem to work, were you able to get it to work? Tell me how and exactly what it does please.
@MichelleInMinneapolis9 ай бұрын
It's a motion sensor so that if you have the light turned on, it'll go off after a while, but when someone walks by, the light will turn back on. feels unnecessary to me, honestly.

I'm following your videos so I can get this right. One question I have, I am using Beacons 3-1 Advanced like your link showed. How do you keep your Beacons from drying out between dipping your brush in it? I usually make a puddle of it but then it still globs up. Any suggestions?
@MichelleInMinneapolis10 ай бұрын
I usually just dip the brush into the bottle itself. I work for about an hour at a time, so it doesn't dry out too much. It actually seems to soften up again after being closed overnight.
@cindiloo446810 ай бұрын
@@MichelleInMinneapolis Thank you for your reply. I realized a few seconds after I sent the question that your video showed the bottle you were using right next to you. This is an adorable project but I must say it is showing me that my fingers don't work like they used to! And also that God knew what he was doing when he didn't give me a girl child, I suck at tying bows! Am on part 5 or 6, the one working with the wreaths, so I'll still be watching you until the end! Thank you again.

Thinking of doing my own plates using air dry or polymer clay. They can be painted when dry same with many of the foods. And I'm beginning to think UV resin would work well as a glue in many of the places. All of that cutting and stringy glue just seems too much oftentimes.❤
