I wonder if the problem isn't really to do with whether there are myths and the presence of the Sacred in the modern age, but more about the fact that people are less willing and able to believe in them

Yes! There's Good in the Best of us. And there's Bad in the Worst of us. Thank you for this Message Dr. King. I really really need this for this time of struggle in my life at the age of 63. I am a caretaker that feel lost. As a young woman, I was once a radical type of person who held strong to whom I was. I have allowed choices and experiences to hold me back and take me down. I am at a point in life where I must have a change of better in my life. This entire mrssage is very inspirational for us at this time.

Amor is hands down my favourite writer. The way him and murakami envelop and weave philosophy into their stories, the peculiar asides that seems unrelated to the story until they fold back in perfectly and the unmatched depth of his characters, even those who play minor roles (here I always think of the two drunk posh guys on the train carriage in the Lincoln highway). There is nothing I dislike about Amor's work. Every year I Google his name in the hopes there's another book coming

Hi, people. When China puts its military on Taiwan, which side do you choose?

China has not fired a single bullet across its borders in 40 years and will never invade Taiwan. Why would an Indian support Taiwan when it has publically stated Arunachal Pradesh is part of Chinna?

Emmi can integrate into modern capitalism (without real love) in second half of film while Ali cannot. Having emotions/love - become victimised by machine of society. She wants that idyllic moment where she is alone fully, but cant be actualised (because always in society). What about when they go on holiday?

Characters not romanticised at all as the Other, so that you the audience sees the characters as other in reality, even somewhat off-putting

China just needs to bow down and beg for forgiveness. The U.S. runs the world and makes the rules. China needs to get back in it's place and do exactly what the U.S. tells them. Xi needs to bow down and kiss trumps feet and apologize for his actions. Then we will allow them to get back to assembling useless crap for us.
