She literally said he works all day so she can stay home and keep the house (which I would prefer to do, myself!) and she wants a nice couch where he will VOLUNTARILY go after work and where they can hang out with the family in the evenings. The guy lives there, too. He gets to lounge on a nice couch which was bought with the money he made if he wants to. He made the money and she manages the household. It's a TEAM EFFORT, folks, not rocket science! Edited to add: Ma'am, I just want to say this was such a treat to watch and listen to. 😊

This is so helpful. I often feel like my role as a homemaker isn't my purpose, that it's not enough or it's not fulfilling. My husband works, my children have needs and it's my job and privilege to be the one to care for our space. And to do it with love, not dread. My family deserves it. Whatever I do, I should do so as if I'm doing it for the Lord. I've been slacking and struggling. Thank you for the encouragement. You're lovely and so is your home.

It’s really not fair to say the home reflects the woman . I understand why it’s true for some , but there are MANY emotionally and psychologically abused wives out there struggling to hold on one day at a time , with the added responsibility of parenting basically as a single parent . There are just way too many impacts on a woman’s life to lay the atmosphere or condition of a home on one person . That then becomes one more defeat for her as she struggles to get out .

Wow! Your seasons metaphor hit me so hard!! It's so true. I am going into my spring season. I for several months I have felt stuck and frustrated with myself. Recently I've got a firm grip on that this is a steps before a big change. That this is the work before the growth. I've been going back and forth between doing what I should and feeling really good and productive, like I'm on his path again. And then i mess up a day and feel like I'm a failure. But with this metaphor I am being reassured it is the process. I'm not going to be better all at once. And everyday I do what I should and feel good about it the old sins get a little closer to dying. I know I'm messing up what I'm trying to say and it's not coming across how I want it too. So let me just say thank you. Thank you for putting it this way. You've helped reassure me that what happening is exactly what should be happening. I know it's a process. But to have it put like this just made my heart say YES! THIS IS IT. HES WORKING ON US!. ❤❤

I am not a homemaker (though I someday hope to be one), but I really felt what you said about not being distracted by all the goings on in the world. On the days when I am not steeped in news, politics, and current events, I am happier and I feel a much closer connection with God - I'm also more inclined to spend more time reading the bible or watching Christian content on those days. As a Christian mother of 4 boys, the Lord led my husband and I to separate ourselves from my side of the family (minus my mother, aunt, & grandma). We're Hispanic, so our Christmas family gatherings are quite large. I grew up so close to all my family but as I drew closer to the Lord, I did not agree with the environment for my children to grow up in (even if it's only on the holidays). It wasn't a horrendous toxic environment, but it did/does include alcohol, some cursing, and overall, just became a celebration about presents and nothing to do with Christ. I used to pray for God to give us the green light to move out of state to not have to make that decision. But God has been teaching me to have backbone in what I believe and stay firm regardless of who it may make uncomfortable. So it's been 5-6 years now that I do not gather with them ( I gather with my mother, aunt, and grandma whom are christian on a separate day) and i have never felt such a peace as I do now. But for some reason, this year was quite hard for me emotionally, so your video really brought comfort and confirmation to our decision, which was made in Christ.
