I'm back again. Jean was such an accomplished actor. I don't think anybody in the business could've portrayed the role of Hilda as well as Jean. It seems to me (never missed an episode until 1998 when I stopped watching the show) that Hilda's exit was always the beginning of Corrie's down fall. Corrie was never the same after she left.
