None knew Show Business like ETHEL! 💐 💐. NEVER another to equal her! 🏆 At one time, I believe there was a group of 🏳️🌈 men who had a drill team marching in parades. I think it was called ETHELING!

I'm back again. Jean was such an accomplished actor. I don't think anybody in the business could've portrayed the role of Hilda as well as Jean. It seems to me (never missed an episode until 1998 when I stopped watching the show) that Hilda's exit was always the beginning of Corrie's down fall. Corrie was never the same after she left. May you always rest in peace.

Surprise surprise! A video with an older Cilla singing this!

This needs to be more widely appreciated. I’m not sure what the most scary part is, homely Cilla kind of going a bit Cougar or just how unsteady she looked on that bike!

10:24 The mark of a great show is when an actor calls their co-star 'Carol' instead of 'Cath' halfway through the series and no one in production or at home notices or cares. Quality

Its a good job, at the time, that they were women. They would never have made it. The BBC has covered that agenda for longer than most people realise. Is it funny? Was it the decline. yes because women arent funny. OK they are. But rarely is the truth.
@stephenwaters978120 күн бұрын
it takes an angry broadcasting company and lack of money to make women funny. it takes a cultural shift to find women funny. But these werent it.

As someone who has only discovered these two at the ripe old age of 31, they really were from a golden age of entertainment and cabaret.

Young Cilla could really sing but this is atrocious. She sounds like a cat on fire and at the ending of the song she does a great impression of a fire alarm to go with it!

That was a joy to watch. Cilla doing her duet dance, as I call it, she did pretty much the same steps when she sang with Dusty Springfield!

I couldn't help noticing the middle aged and elderly audience and how they dressed. Remember seeing them all like that years back. What a contrast to how elderly people look and dress now. WTF happened? They all look like raggedy, tattooed, pink haired effalumps trying to outdo each other on the lefty progressive front.😮

This was probably 1 of the last great true Royal Variety Performances back when they still used to know how to do them! The right staging the right venue every aspect of it as they used to be and worthy of watching - LWT at its finest.
