Only thing is, the same officer told someone else in our community, that he had been reprimanded for not making enough arrests and giving enough tickets and that was before I had ever even spoke with him! Officers should not have to meet any specified number amount of arrests, charges or citations. They should be encouraged to make every attempt at peaceful resolutions that don't harm citizens and communities financially, economically, physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. Officers should be encouraged to keep arrests, charges and citations at a minimum as to strengthen communities instead of weakening them with these types of harmful tactics and or strategies. Deescalate hate, don't Violate... Give warnings, inform and actually help and assist the public to know the laws and be aware of them for their safety. Officers shouldn't want to see these things happening to citizens. Let's downsize the prison systems and stop trying to make anyone and everyone out to be a criminal for your job security. We all have to use discretion wisely as not to become the aggressors. Officers should only ever use the amount of force that is necessary and only when it is absolutely necessary, as to create and or maintain a safe and sound environment for the public. I see too many overzealous "supercops," assaulting civilians over petty b.s. and it needs to stop! "Cops need to calm their sh!t," and especially stop killing unarmed, non combatant citizens!
