Very superficial. If you don't have real problems, I guess it's true, you can change a lot just by your will... For the rest it's just a pretty simple approach to fill a book. :-(

I highly agree on the fact that we all look at the world with filter and biases, either it's emotional , belief based or even on our current state of mind

My boss is a red, I'm a green, my colleagues are yellow and blue. Altogether, we have a slight touch of other colours. Now, I understand why the Yellow talks unending. Therefore, no need for me to get upset anymore and I now understand why the blue 💙 is a perfectionist. Undemanding these make me a better version of myself. Thanks to @Thomas Erikson for the book. Great job 👏 👍 👌

One thing that I wanted to add to this that I feel was missed out of the book is you are worth something simply by being. This does not mean because you can give advice or emotional support as these are actions. You can think about this using an example from the book itself, if one of your loved ones was to have a terrible accident you'd first be concerned as to whether they are still here, not what they are able to do for you. By simply existing and being present you are worthy, not by any other action.

I'm not a medical professional. I'd suggest diverting your mind to something else. There is a technique where you engage your senses in different ways to divert your mind. For example, focusing on something you are seeing and noticing its details like how it smells, sounds, tastes, and feels, etc. In your case, eating helps you divert your mind. So this habit has to be replaced with mindfulness. And I'm not saying it's easy. But you can try this. Replace it with the one I told you above. Instead of eating, try to focus on something else.

1. It takes courage to see reality without filter (the filter of past experience and future expectations) 2.we see the world through filter and that is why it looks complex completely the opposite of the reality 3.we have the power to change the present by using the law cause and effect and letting the past go(trauma doesn't exist) 4. We stuck in the past experience out of fear of unfamiliarity not because of the past, we chose to escape 5.we have the power to resist our emotions, emotions are powerful but we are above it.we have the power to chose 6.problems are connected, what about your self image? Inferior or superior? Inferior a desire to grow ,superior brings confidence and easy 7.people are your friends, set your mindset in win-win .don't compete but may people start competing but don't fall in trap 8.focus on what you cantrol ,like your thoughts not others 9.ego=hiding inferiority No one is superior or Inferior
