@cornellbsmusic7230 i looked it up on google, and it converts to $29,676 united states dollar
So I will add to my comment above.....the action of the keyboard feels very light and responsive, wasy to play for long periods of time because I'm older...it's also an attractive design, real wood sharps and flats, and not to shiny, yet smooth, on the whites.......also, the other main reason is the overtones...nice sounds from all over the piano when you play the notes alone or as chords, etc.... a very different, proprietary C Bechstein design and sound IMO. Like I mentioned before they stopped making the 112 but you can check with them because they have a lot of pre owned at good prices and they make sure they play like new.......that's all for now..make sure you listen to me playing the L167 small grans and the Concert 8, their best upright, gives you even a better idea of the sound I am talking about....very easy to,play these pianos!

Why would someone spend so much money on an upright? You could just buy a grand or baby grand at that point
@cornellbsmusic72309 ай бұрын
Depends on the person's preference....and some uprights can be built better and even sound better than a small grand.....space may be a factor, too......it's what a person hears and likes, and it's their money.....
@eliplayer21229 ай бұрын
@@cornellbsmusic7230The bechstein is truly a beautiful piano, it is one of my favorites and sounds majestic, I just in general don't understand the expensive upright market. I see uprights as a side piano if you need a quieter piano or for some apartment, but if you have 80k to spend why not get a grand? It seems like it's a huge jump from upright to grand in terms of sound and general playing experience (although some uprights can produce better sound, generally grands are just better) and if you were to get an upright, 30k+ seems a little unreasonable unless you have loads of money to spend. I understand it's the person's money, I just don't understand the choice

@@eliplayer2122 I feel the same way in general...that upright I'm playing in the video sells for over 50,000$...Must be a space issue for some people, but that piano plays and sounds better than a lot of small grands I've played...It's the top piano in that category.....I actually have the least expensive C Bechstein , an A112, check out the sounds on some of my posts...that sells now for around 16,000$, sounds great and a fun action, too.. so what's your piano of choice?

@@cornellbsmusic7230 I've tried a few c bechstein uprights before, they are lovely. I dream of owning a bechstein baby grand in one of the wonderful wooden finishes with chrome highlights. About a month ago I was shopping for uprights and was either going to buy the kawai k400 or the w.hoffman t122. it took me a while to decide but I landed on the Hoffman. The kawai is great but it feels more like a machine than an instrument, the Hoffman really has a soul and produces some beautiful sound. That's a general trend with most European made pianos compared to Japanese ones. The Hoffman is very loud for the size and has a deep rich treble.
