Curious, did you go crazy with rear tire pressure? Any clutch pop needed or sufficient to just drag front brake and accelerate?
@ryacerx Жыл бұрын
I would run normal pressures 28-30 in the rear on q3s. But I’m sure higher would make it easier to spin. I just never liked higher for wheelies. I pop the clutch never tried just brake and power. If you want more info you can hit me up on ig

@@ryacerx interesting, I wanna try it out on the road bike sometime. It's real easy on a dirt bike, but never tried with clutch pop
@ryacerx Жыл бұрын
@@seb42 I did learn on a Supermoto first. Can be a little more forgiving. I actually stopped doing them on big bikes. The last one I did on that R1 I locked the front and I haven’t done another since. Luckily saved it but I got a nice scar from the rearset stabbing my calf. I probably was just rusty but scared me nonetheless.

@@ryacerx yea I got spooked on my mt09 a while back. Wheelied, locked front in the air, came back down on a locked front which tucked. Luckily saved it somehow but put me off trying again. I figure issue was me not bringing enough weight forward and being to slow with the power. Was my street bike so didn't really wanna dump it.

How do you switch off your abs
@ryacerx2 жыл бұрын
I deleted my abs. Core Moto lines and ftecu dongle. If that’s the route you want to go I would contact ftecu. I saw they have an updated solution.

@@ryacerx really thinking of getting an R1 or s1000rr. But where i stay there its not easy to come across an r1 🤦♂️. But can you still do a stand still burnout or the abs will also restrict that
@ryacerx2 жыл бұрын
Shucks I would really like to help but I deleted the abs almost immediately. Once I felt how bad the abs was on the 2015 I knew I wanted it off. They may have improved it on newer models but I’m not sure.

Bike looks amazing. I’m currently building my 501 sumo. Just got my two toned alpina wheels! What were you using to prep your plastics before decal application? Who did your plastics and graphics too.
@ryacerx3 жыл бұрын
Thanks appreciate it 👍 Post a link to your build when you finish. Love to check it out. Can find us on ig as well @two_supermoto or ryacerx. It was a just a general purpose spray cleaner. Just be careful that whatever you use doesn’t leave a residue that will affect adhesion. I personally use rubbing alcohol. Dws did the graphics, plastics were a kit from polisport I believe. Custom cut fender.

The maintenance is per hours or km ?
@ryacerx3 жыл бұрын
We actually just go by miles or km for you. I don’t think the street miles are that hard on the bike. If you’re riding pretty hard I would think about making the maintenance intervals a little closer.

wanted to by the FE 501 for a while not but the high maintenance is to much. I can do it once a week every 500km (300 mil) but every 15h is to much. How often do you change the oil and engine pistons, please, do tell ?
@ryacerx3 жыл бұрын
The FE501 is my friends bike. It’s been pretty reliable for him he’s got over 22,000 miles on the bike. Motor never apart and valves adjusted once. He changes oil every 1k miles I believe with motorex. I change my oil a bit more frequently based on how hard I ride my bike. Roughly 500 miles. My ktm 500 has been pretty reliable and they’re pretty simple to work on. For the performance you get I feel like the general maintenance isn’t bad at all. Basically change oil and check valves once in awhile or if it shows symptoms.
@ryacerx3 жыл бұрын
I think for supermoto riding, especially on the street, it doesn’t put as much strain on the motor as in race scenarios. So the maintenance schedule can be extended and the life expectancy of parts can be longer between rebuilds or replacement. At least that’s how it seems based on our bikes and a lot of our friends ktm/husky’s. If you have any further questions lmk.
@EddyVs03 жыл бұрын
@@ryacerx Can't stress enough how much i thank you. I have allot of friends who ride enduro and everyone told me, you have nothing to do with a KTM or husky on the streets. Stubborn, i looked the internet front and back, wanted to hear others ppl opinions on this. Now i must think if i sell my z750 or buy a new husky. Thank you again.
@ryacerx3 жыл бұрын
No problem. I had the same concerns you did. Heard the horror stories. Ridden Japanese bikes my entire life. Didn’t really trust euro bikes. But since owning my 2017 ktm 500 I’m a ktm fan now. Their sohc motor is probably the easiest motor to check and adjust valves on. Keep in mind though our experience is on 2017-2019 models. 2020 had a bunch of changes. One of our friends had some major issues. And I’ve heard of a few others online. But idk how they did break in. Maintained their bikes etc. Or maybe it was just freak issues or new model year kinks that had to be worked out. Just do your research if you’re buying new. I can’t speak to any other model years but mines has been rock solid so far with about 10k miles. I expect it to go to 20k just like the husky and I’ll probably get prepped for a rebuild.
