My Act-Mag is a metal follower and jams all the time. Feels like it is full of gravel. Even when loading it the spring gets stuck some times can not push out with thumb. I ordered a Mec-Car to try for 22 dollars.

I have one of these and had to send it back to Taurus right off the bat, it won't cycle hollow points at all, they said they fixed it but they didn't, I took it to a gun Smith where I shoot and it still won't feed hollow points, as far as I'm concerned this thing is junk and I don't trust it to work, so it just sits in my safe.

So if you aren't going to be running around in the jungle duct tape works just fine. By the time it gets unsticky it will be a long time because, remember, you aren't going to be running around in the jungle. Replace the tape ..... what once a year maybe. Totally OCD my man. Tape it and run with it .... but not in the jungle.

My TCP is not a competition range gun. It's a POCKET pistol for concealed (key word: CONCEALED) carry. Adding "stuff" seems to defeat the whole concept. If you want a better grip (for whatever reason), get a bigger gun. Not me. I have an old five ton Ruger P85 for that.

Filipinos made this 1911 pretty well good coz they love the gun. And after all, it was conceived by way of the U.S. expeditionary forces' experiences in combat with the Southern Philippines' warriors- they need a gun to stop these worthy opponents. Just being proud of the history of this Gun. God bless.

The velcro straps you tried, are they the kind with adhesive back? Or are they regular tissue with a velcro side? I'm considering of using velcro tape with one adhesive side.

I just put a hogue grip and mag extensions on my Taurus .380 yesterday. I’m liking it. Before the grip sleeve, it was kind of like holding onto a mini dv tape case.

Carrying a CCW Badge is a bad idea. Why? If you get involved in a shooting, and you're carrying that, then the defense could argue that you were trying to act as a peace officer.

Your trigger discipline is awful. You not only had your finger on the trigger for the majority of the talking, but also racked the slide with your finger on the trigger. Don't set a bad example on KZbin.

What fucking rock have I been under....... when $20 is a "good price" for a ProMag 1911 magazine? Really? Not that promag is top of the line shit, but really .... how bad do you have to be to fuck up a 1911 mag? That thing should be $10.

Here is my tricked out American Classic II. I love this gun!! I have less than a grand into it and it is easily equal to any high-end 1911 out there! It has Wilson Combat stainless beavertail, trigger, hammer, sear, disconnector, barrel bushing and mag release, all hand-fitted by a nationally recognized 1911 specialist gunsmith along with his ace trigger job. It has a Wilson Combat 16lb recoil spring, 21lb Wolff hammer spring, Ed Brown snakeskin pattern hammer spring housing and magwell, all installed by yours truly. And custom grips with Wilson Combat medallions. www.dropbox.com/s/exqop7dl0rbhv98/1911%20New%20Grips%20R.JPG?dl=0

There is nothing cheap about a Metroarms American Classic II. Inexpensive yes, cheap NO! My nationally recognized 1911 specialist gunsmith told me that the frame/slide/barrel quality and fit was the equal of his personal high-dollar Dan Wesson! Mine was a GREAT gun right out of the box! It shot well and reliably and was quite accurate. Could it stand a trigger job? Yes, but the stock trigger is pretty darned good. Could it stand a custom hand-fitted barrel bushing? Yes, but the stock one was as accurate as any 1911 until you get into custom guns the likes of Les Baer. The AMCII is every bit the equal of any other 1911 at twice the price and many at three times the price! You can upgrade it to absolutely be the equal of a $2,500.00 Les Baer custom and only have less than a grand into it!

With a little more practice you will be able to nail that Target much better with that Hi-Point C9. I have a C9 that I shoot from time to time. It's a very accurate weapon. It's as accurate as my Glock 19, 26, and Savage 32 Auto.

It's not the fault of the magazine... Are you lubing it well enough? You lube a 1911 ridiculously different than you lube a polymer wonder like a Glock or M&P...
