To think of steeples falling in this land. ? But many beautiful church buildings are void of people because of the corruption in the high places. The spiritual foundations have crumbled but thankfully there is a remanent of GODS people to let HIS Spirit dwell in. So we best be the salt and let our light be shining. … John I feel you singing these songs is doing just that.

When I was a kid my dad was in charge of a worship service our church conducted at a local nursing home. He would recruit different men from the congregation to speak, and he would lead the singing. He did the old favorites that the residents knew and loved. They had a piano in the room where we held the services that we did not use, so my sister and I got to sit on the piano bench, which we really enjoyed. Being on that bench while my dad led this song is one of my earliest memories. Thank you for sharing this!
